I got stopped out. Where do you see us heading to next? I know it's premature but I think we will surpass the current high of 2641. I see the next resistance at the .50 fib resistance of 2792

The scenario of 2650 break out happened so we are headed to around 2700 - 2800

I warned you guys not to get ahead of yourselves there are still some fundamentals at play here.

I believe people think we are in a recovery. Before long, reality sets in again that the economy is actually screwed and the bailout cycle begins again.

The Fed/Administration will continue to attempt to raise the markets by purchasing stocks and bonds but at this point it really has nothing to do with the real economy which is in a depression.

I have cash on the side and i'm not touching this thing other than contributing to my 401k every paycheck. it would have to take another big dump before I buy anything. too risky at this point not enough reward

I'm debating if I should exit some of my positions to breakeven or make little profits.

I feel this week could be a blessing for some if we are to hit a real recession.

I lost around $70K out of my $200K in stocks over the last month trying to short the market. I could not beat the FED obviously. Haven't told my wife yet. Hope she doesn't ask for a divorce.

Just blame the coronavirus for crashing the market, I wouldn’t mention you tried to short, good luck

Recently bought some stock in Raytheon Technologies Co.(RTX). They recently completed a merger between United Technologies Corp (Aerospace- Pratt and Whitney & Colloins aerospace) and Raytheon Company (Defense Manufacturer). They were two giants in the game before and I think the government would obviously bail them out if they ever needed it. They are up 27% since last Friday. Still at $65 a share currently.

TQQQ, buy and don’t look daily. You’ll be very happy in a couple years

Is there any bad news that can get reported that will actually negatively impact the market?
It seems like the market is glossing over all the terrible economic data and poor earnings. Do people really believe we will go from a 15% unemployment rate to 4% within a month after things finally "normalize" (whatever that means)?

I would not get into any long term positions

This is a trader's market and I still don't think the downside is done

For now, they will keep pumping this until it no longer works

Warned you guys not to get ahead of yourselves shorting the fed

Better to trade this market that is what I am doing, using options and 3x leverage funds and closing out profits every few days

I do think the top is getting close but once again it will be news driven

Doesn't matter. Sooner or later reality will settle in whether there is news or not.

Looks like someone is short...

Regardless, market is range bound right now so run a disciplined risk:reward system and profit.

Buy side has modeled downside earnings in, review valuation multiples and fwd earnings estimates and you'll see the reason why broader market is shaking off these "bad" #s

i called the .50 fib at 2792 resistance but I got gun shy. i could have made 50-60 points on the downside but I am glad i stayed out as .618 resistance looks like where we are heading next around 2935. also there is a gap fill at 2900 and 3000. Not to mention that negatve RSI divergence on the hourly.

I think what's happening is distribution. retail shorts are getting squeezed and "smart money" is selling into the strength. 2900-3000 is great resistance area and I think earnings will start to matter now as the gameplaying from options expiration week is over. I suggest doing what Garbagelo suggested and take small trades and close out your position every few days. in trading, hitting a bunch of singles is better then continuously swinging and missing on the homerun

I'm also of the mindset that Gilead's remdesivir drug trial( for moderate symptoms) or some other treatment will be successful in May. I have a choppy upwards bias until we have a drug with a successful trial. then when that happens sell the news.

TQQQ is the long term investment. Short term I am worried about a second wave of the virus hitting, that’s the unpredictable aspect.

There are a number of financial earnings releases coming, they should already be priced in. If you think they aren’t FAZ is a short term hold this week.

So are you guys saying we should exit some long term positions if we can take profits? Or just don't open new long term positions?
