You know something's not right when you're hoping they bring Obi back in. That was me for most of the 4th quarter.
one of the few bright spots. He looks more explosive lately.

Get him a PG and shooters? No thanks.
Randle is ball dominant and stops ball movement dead in it's tracks, pointing out that he had 11 assists is pointless, he's not running a solid offense. He's getting assists the same way Westbrook does, there's no ball movement or hockey assists that come off his passes, it's mostly a kickout to a shooter who has to shoot it because he's burned clock isoing.
If he's exhausted maybe he shouldn't shoot 20 times? How about come up off the ball and space the floor? Nah, gotta get those step backs in.
Knicks offense is ugly with and without Randle. It just shows you our roster construction. When Randle doesn’t have the ball, all the rest of the Knicks just dribble the air out of the ball going nowhere cause they can’t create on their own and kick it out for Randle to bail them out with a last second 3. That’s our offense every game.
We go to Randle for ISO’s cause he’s the only one who can score on his own. We rely on him creating open looks for others cause they can’t create for themselves. So until we get legit scorers around him, that’s just the way it’s gonna be. RJ is a very limited scorer, IQ can’t do much without his floaters, Burks is inconsistent. Rose might not be 100% cause of Covid, injuries.
This all sounds like the same things I heard from Westbrook fans, nobody is good enough around him, he got xyz assists so he didn't really have a bad game. We will never have a quality offense with Randle on the team, we will never have ball movement and hockey assists because he needs to be involved in every play, he needs to be on ball a lot to be effective, we can't even run high screens because he's on the ball so much. And it's not just because Thibs doesn't like the play, the Wolves had 50% more possessions with the rollman than we do, it's because our PF handles the ball nearly every other possession that we can't even run basic plays like that.
Yet we’ve seen it 90% of the time when Randle goes to the bench the Knicks collapse and Thibs is rushing to put Randle back in the game cause that’s how bad we are without him. Knicks offensive rating without Randle is like dead last in the league. Sounds to me you’re just going back to your anti Randle agenda and blaming him for not being lebron. Good night bruh.

It’s like when lil bitches make subliminal records, if it ain’t directed directly at me, I don’t respect it

You know who would look good on this squad? A small forward shooting 39 percent from the three averaging 16 ppg. You know who has that player? Mavs.

The Thunder used to look like crap when Westbrook went to the bench too, doesn't mean much. The Knicks ORTG without Randle is 107.6 and 110.6 with him, considering he has a rookie backing him up that's really not that big of a difference. A 110.6 ORTG would be 20th in the league, a 107.6 is 26th. Going back? I never left, I want him off the team because I see exactly what he is and getting something in return for him makes more sense than bringing him back for another round of this next season. Nah, I'm not blaming him for not being LeBron, I blame our team and front office for allowing him to operate like he is.
I'd rather lose and see the young players at this point, than to watch him play, we're losing and we have to watch this nonsense

Obi showed life and that's a W.
Also a W, we cannot compete with playoff teams, thus being a 7th or 8th seed is just wasteful. Even for "experience". How many more painful L's will it take for yall to understand this completely? We got some good pieces, but it isn't enough to be a complete team.
We ain't the "We Believe Warriors".
I told yall the best route was to tank for the legendary 2021 Draft.
Our defense just got soft in the 3rd and 4th....when Jalen Brunson was stylin and profiling on us in the second I knew we had no chance. I hate losing to Dallas because it's like losing to our former selves...Burke, Hardaway, KP...yuck.

To be fair, iso plays are the staple of most NBA offenses down the stretch. The difference between the good teams and bad teams are how good the iso player is and whether they can create for other players. Doncic is a better iso player than Randle. That was the difference in the game.

This year & the year we were supposed to tank for Doncic are really unforgivable sins.

It's a good question.
Probably the most important one.
I see 5 scenarios to be honest:
1. Knicks make the playoffs, Clippers are a mess, and Kawhi signs this summer
2. Zion signs as a free agent in 2025 or 2026 via player option
3. Knicks miss the playoffs, finally get some lottery luck and draft Cade or Suggs (or whomever)
4. Knicks package their assets and trade for Lavine, and he reaches yet another level
5. Knicks trade Randle to the Warriors or Timberwolves for a top 4 pick.
I don't know if there's any other avenue tbh.
#4 seems like the only realistic path
Bulls just traded for Vucevic. Lavine is going nowhere. Scratch off #4.

i don't know that we can get lavine but they aint won a game since the vuc trade. that aint gonna be the reason he stays. they still suck.

tonight’s game was the first time Lavine didn’t have a horrific shooting night.
