Sad to see the korean zombie go out like that. I wouldn't be surprised if this was his last fight in the octagon. Chimaev vs Burns was sick.

Definitely! That's the number one contender fight to make.

Sterling vs TJ, Yan vs the winner of Vera/Font

Volk vs Max or Arnold Allen

Dern vs Zhang

Madsen vs Riddell

Volkanowski may have the fastest hands in the UFC, what a beatdown he gave to KZ. Hope Zombie will be alright.

Sterling fought better but he's still super annoying and a paper champ.

Khamzat got a good win but he got beat up. I feel this was the best outcome for him and he'll learn and be humbled as he was way too overconfident before.

Agreed.

At least we found out Khamzat has a chin.

That was weird to watch. In round 1 …

Spoiler:
Rodtang was teeing off on Demetrius who seemed like he was just trying to survive. Then in round 2, there was no striking and Rodtang looked like he had never wrestled before and had no answers for DJ.

wow, the difference between the first and second round really illustrates the difference that the threat of take downs makes in a fight

Bilal vs Luque was a great fight. Luque couldn’t stop that left leg kick to the body or the take downs. But damn he can take a punch and keep moving forward.

I really enjoy seeing the gaps that this sorta thing exposes. It puts into perspective the importance of being well-rounded in one sport and being a true specialist in the other.

Yeah, that was a scrap! They both showed up tough as nails. It's hard for me to see either of 'em beating the guys left ahead of them in the rankings though.

Bellator had a great fight in Anderson vs Nemkov, but it ended early on a headbutt and wound up a no-decision. Then things got worse with a slumber fight in Mckee vs Pitbull 2 that ended with a controversial decision.

I watched the Bellator fights. Corey seemed to be on his way to a victory before that accidental head butt. It looked to me like Nemkov blocked one of Corey's punches which caused his momentum to continue to drive forward resulting in the head butt.

So sad he retires. Could have been one of the GOATs. He is knocking people out cold nowadays. I thought he couldn't 3 years ago or that's what haters said bout him...

Still top 5 H2H heavyweight of all time tho. Just bad resume like Vitali Klitschko but both nightmares to box.

Vitali was better boxer, Wladimir was a greater due to his resume. Vitali was never dropped, stronger chin, just as awkward to fight as Fury and more sound technically than Wlad.

The Klitschko brothers are typical example of how the better boxer doesn't necessarily transform into the greater one. Sadly, Tyson will end up as one of the best but not even top 10 of the greatest.

Funny you say that. I remember a fight between Vladimir and Billy Ray Saunders and Saunders just had Vladimir’s number that night and really put a beating on him and won the fight easily. Maybe even a TKO.

So after the fight Vitali steps up and challenges Saunders to fight him. Saunders accepts and then Vitali beat the crap out of Saunders. Wasn’t even close. I can’t remember but I think Itami TKO’d him. Parenthetically, it didn’t look like Saunders was in shape for the Vitali fight. That’s why he’s “Billy Ray Saunders”.

The Drunken Master! I swear you'll never see a more confused Floyd Mayweather than he looked the first couple rounds with Augustus  . He always felt like he could prolly win half the fights he lost. The only other guy I recall dancing in a fight would be Genki Sudo who would do the robot in PRIDE, UFC, and K1 fights...crazy because he was a grappler

I was in Austin for a long weekend and missed all the fun this weekend.

Bellator had some really good fights. My boy Horiguchi lost and I missed it, I hear he just looked outsized which is the only issue for him at 135. Tyson Fury's KO was dope, and he seems genuinely interested in fighting Francis Ngannou. My guess is that if Usyk beats Anthony Joshua again, then Fury might really chase that Ngannou fight. Joshua is the money fight but not if he loses again.

Cyborg dominated again, but in a very entertaining fight that I missed. She's all-time.

Jessica Andrade scored a standing choke which is just nuts.

And my favorite news in recent MMA talk...One is coming to Amazon Prime
