There was a game against the bucks earlier this season where we were down 25 and came back and won and he locked up Giannis and was really good and mobile on defense. I've always said that if you hire a specific coach like Thibs, you gotta get players that fit his scheme. The only player that doesn't need a scheme and will fit with any or every coach are superstars. There are probably like 5 to 7 of them.

He didn't want Fournier or Kemba... he wanted to keep Bullock. Either the FO needs to be in lockstep with the coach unless its a star player or find a coach that meets your goals. Cam Reddish is not a Thibs player, we all knew this but they went out and got him anyway. He wants dogs that can shoot 3s, the problem with this is that there are not a lot of rugged dogs out there in the NBA. Whether you want to call today's player soft or whatever, then you shouldn't be coaching. This is why JVG shouldn't even get a coaching job anymore because he is always disappointed at the players today.

Why did Knicks fans hate Marbury

I hated him after the sexual harassment nonsense and then when it was clear D’antoni (Who I really hated!) wasn’t going to play him so he was just an idea more than a player.

Honestly I still hate D’antoni more than Thibs but that was just because he use to grind every player through SSOL even when it was clear they had talent but not in that system. Thibs is just as stubborn but at least he isn’t here screaming about ICE. Which reminds me Phil and his Triangle was such a disappointment. I honestly thought he had a plan to make it work, but he came in and goofed off.

I would love if the next coach was a competent coach who didn’t have an agenda to push some sort of basketball philosophy.
