This was the angle that convinced me it was Okoros knee form the side and not Ihart and also this doctor seemed to have it pegged correctly every step of the way

It is weird that Shake went from 45+ / 37 to falling apart. But he’s got some game

He’ll still probably get his 11 mins for a while, we are too shorthanded. But at full strength I don’t think he’ll play.

Unless they play shake milton over him

You were ridiculous and vocal after the last injuries too. The entire basketball universe besides you and a couple others understand that Thibs overuses his players and it’s a cumulative effect that increases the odds of injury because, you know, that’s just how life works.

Anyway, you’re dug in on this so have fun believing that injuries are random, unavoidable, and have nothing to do with Thibs being an absolute lunatic.

You speak for me, because I'm not going to get into it with every glib post mocking the well-established fact that Thibs is terrible at load management

It's a well established fact that you're the worst poster on this board.

Players on load management get hurt too genius. There is no magic formula or minutes distribution that 100% prevents injuries you dope. Your guy Frank for example is always hurt yet never plays! A guy like Embiid who sits out games and back to backs keeps getting hurt. Mikal plays every game and plays super hard defending the opposing players best player also while being a go-to scorer for his team and hasn't gotten hurt yet!

Formula to prevent 100% of injuries, huh?

How about 80%:

Mitch
Randle
OG
[Donte]
Brunson

I’m not getting into your personal beef with Clyde, but your counter argument is paper thin nonsense. I mean thanks for the mindblowing insight that there’s no formula to avoid 100% of injuries! Masterful! Have a great night.

Shake may get some of his time right away but we will see

He made a couple shots tonight and still didn’t get time

Lots of heroes in this one. Everyone did about as well as they could have done in arguably the grittiest win of the season. Up there with the Pacers game. Alec and Jericho chipped in also.

Jalen’s injury clouds things, but he seemed okay. Should probably miss Tuesday’s game regardless, because they don’t play again until Friday. Make your sacrifice to the ball gods tonight.

Time and again we've seen how one great defender in the line-up can alter the game. OG does that. Deuce is impactful in his own right. Pretty soon we're going to hear talk about Deuce's role on the Knicks. For now he's our little secret

Been saying for YEARS now he could be our Marcus Smart... IF our coach was smart :noway:

I hate myself for getting in the middle of this but how is it Thibs fault that Jaquez under cut Randle or Brunson bumped knees with Okoro? Or OG’s bone spurs in his elbow?

Deuce is 6'1" (Smart is bigger), but he plays big for his size so I'll take that comp

When it comes to small ball, we also have Hart who plays very big for his size at 6'4"

It does mean we can be still be a defensive team even when going to small ball lineups

Almost laughable that he played Deuce a full game but that was a fun win and I am glad he is choosing Deuce

Still … there’s probably nothing you can tell Thibs to make him give guys rest

Cavs will want Mitch Robinson, Bogs, McBride and a warchest of picks. We won’t give up Randle, or the nova boys in such a deal IMO. It’s gonna be the picks. Cavs sell their fans on loading back up on youth and restocking picks like they had before the Spida trade.

It was an interesting choice that he went with Jericho over Precious who had played very well

Sort of obvious why, size. But still noteworthy

First, the concept of “fault” or blame is only useful insofar as public sentiment can sway a man’s job security. Cause and effect are never completely cut and dried, but you can be damn sure Tom Thibodeau teams will suffer more injuries over time than most other coaches because the basic laws of probability dictate that players playing more minutes at higher intensities in a physical maximum rim-attack/rim-protect system will have a greater chance of hurting themselves on all types of plays, including the ones you just mentioned.

That make sense? It’s not complicated and frankly it’s not controversial. Everybody knows this about Thibs. The upshot is that he gets incredible production out of guys while they’re healthy. Look at Donte and Hart tonight and tell me we’re not on borrowed time until one of them drops next. The bright side is until they drop, they’re playing out of their damn minds.

Don’t get me wrong, I think Thibs is an excellent coach and the right man for the job at MSG. It’s just plain as day that he’s gonna injure his players.
