The problem? The PROBLEM???

We’re 38-16.

Our record against all opponents so far this season:

Over .500: 11-12
Under .500: 25-6

Top 3 Teams: 0-5
Bottom 7 Teams: 17-1
Rest of League: 19-12

You need to forgive people who have higher expectations. The team is built and paid in salary to win now - and by win we mean a title. We made all these flurry of moves. Ending up as a 2nd round exit again wouldn’t really be a success.

So what about those teams that have a better record against the top tier teams but a worse record against the mids and lower tier teams?

It basically washes out. We still need to get fully heathy and continue to improve. I’m not saying that we’re a Finals level team yet.

also you cant have 2 timeouts up 4 under your own basket with under 10 seconds left and let your center inbounds the ball. That is simply unacceptable.

You call a timeout and inbounds the ball at half court to have the entire court to inbounds. Like how is that being glossed over?

Because Thibs has decided all that attention to detail from the bench is basically a waste of (his) time

We play the same teams everyone else does. We are top 4 in the league. Not sure why the fan base wants to crap on everything we have accomplished in 3.5 months let alone compare it to teams that have been together for multiple years with minor changes to their teams. We added like 10 new players and 4/5 of a starting lineup for the most part. What are we supposed to be doing? Winning every game from day one? It's unrealistic to say the least. We have had 5 different starting lineups and like 20 different bench players in the last year. The fact that we are STILL top 4 is actually one of the most impressive things I have seen in forever. You can't please everyone apparently.

I'll take the win but damn that was bad execution at the end of regulation, you just have finish the game smarter.

The Knicks should write their own 2 Minute Report with a list of all the blunders Thibs makes that could cost the game.

Brunson was tired and letting way too much time elapse on the clock — he was holding to 5 with no time left to pass off. Iso all the way. Worked for a win but also absentee coaching.

I agree with everyone here sharing that more positive outlook. There is much more things to appreciate and be positive about than only looking at the games against Boston and OKC.

I feel like one thing some just leave out is the fact that whenever you make so many changes to a team and have an essential part of your team not having played a single game you are bound to be not perfect. It is been a theme over and over again that when teams make multiple changes they usually need a couple seasons to be on that level. Just look at Cleveland, OKC, Boston and how they got here. They played in their current constellation for a couple years and made tweaks here and there. They had their heartbreak, they had their questioning themselves and being questioned by the fans etc.

I remember Celtic fans discussing whether to trade Brown because he wasn't worth the supermax. Some questioned even Tatum. Cavs FO was discussing whether Mitchell and Garland can win ultimately. Patience guys.

I mean if you’re upset after a win in a winning season then yes you’re prob a miserable Knicks fan.

It’s analogous to being in an open-age karate tournament and you advance again, but you just got embarrassed and almost knocked the fuq out by a 12 year old in front of everyone.

I’d say you’re justifiably upset and know you got a lot of work to do to win it all, not miserable :D

At the end of the day, that’s all it is. We haven’t won a title in most of our lifetimes, can’t fault fans for expecting more.

Despite that, the vast majority of fans here are enjoying the ride regardless of venting online… just because you air out your frustrations doesn’t mean you’re not on the other end of your phone/computer celebrating and cheering our guys every night.

Fan Police like FrozenEnvelope “sports aren’t for you” are far worse lol. That’s herb behavior.

JB barbecued Daniels the end of the 4th and the whole OT… Daniels better watch his mouth, just cause you have half a season of defense, don’t mean the true offensive super stars won’t figure you out kid. JB is a supernova, not a superstar.

They made a silly trade with Hunter but they still have some decent players, maybe a bottom playoff seed so not a complete joke of a team.

That was one of Dyson’s best games. He looked more explosive offensively and was as disruptive as ever. Jalen seemingly has a lot of respect for him … thankfully we we got the W today.

And with that sad excuse for a win, the Knicks defensive rating dropped to 18th on the season. They will have to give up 3 fewer points over the final 28 games (when Mitch is back) to finish in the top 10 defensively. It'll say something about Mitch if they can do that.

4-1 without OG. I’m pleasantly surprised.

really didn't need the OT and the heavy minutes for the starters, but other than that... I am pretty happy with the b2b.
KATs looked fantastic after the knee and thumb were really bother him. Especially the 3 point shot.
And we didn't rush OG or Mitch back. thats a great thing.

The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which people with limited competence in a particular domain overestimate their abilities. It was first described by David Dunning and Justin Kruger in 1999
