They should be better on offense, the defense not being great is a given. We expected to lose games 120-128, not 90-130.

I get it it but it's not as if the defense isn't a problem.

But we make so many dumb defensive lapses it's horrible. It's drive and kick and easy bucket. Or missed shot and easy transition hoop.

The defense could be better, but in a quarter where we score 19 pts it's not the biggest problem. An elite offensive team doesn't crumble against elite defenses the way we do, you never saw the Nuggets just fall apart on offense no matter who they were playing.


The play with Hart, Brunson and OG in the same corner together screams of no structure on offense. And you even posted videos of Teague saying Tom lets you do whatever, and we see that on offense when it's time to go against good teams. No plan.

As I mentioned, it's impossible to defend any worse than the results that drop coverage produces with this roster.

It looks like guys catching hot potatoes out of rhythm unsure whether to shoot or drive and just chucking it.

KAT is basically Andrea Bargnani on defense. Doesn’t help that Brunson is a slow midget. The combination of both is never going to be good defensively.

Offensively we don’t have enough scorers that can create for themselves. We just don’t have a chance versus teams that are flat out better

I 100 believe our offense is the biggest problem and that is where we win games. My point is that our defense is also a big issue. And it has to get better or the offense improving doesn't matter. We can't give up clean looks on a simple drive and kick every game. Just recall the Detroit game how we lost on the same play ran twice. It's a huge problem too.

That's why less talented teams than the Knicks were able to beat the Celtics.
