We were lucky to beat Detroit in the first round.

This is not a great team because the coach didnt utilize the strengths of the roster.

This team plays negative IQ basketball at times.

Teams don't just go from being out of the playoffs to being in the Finals. Now the Knicks front office have a better idea of what they need to get to the Finals next season.

Yeah. And their chit-talking from last year clearly got to our heads. It was obvious instead of playing smart and protecting the lead in game 1, our team was desperately trying to land a knockout punch to get even. I feel like the won the mental game too.

They did and that starts with the coach. Carlisle is a low key mind game master.

KAT with 22 & 14 on 8-19 in his worst game of the series.

Trying to put this on him, after he was the one starter who won his matchup this series, shows just how stupid this board can be at times.

Leon always comes out on the wrong side of things in terms of value given up. He has put our organization in a very bad spot going forward.

Yeah Leon gets blown way too much here.

He is average at best.

That Bridges trade is maybe the worst trade in NBA history. It's at least the worst in Knicks history.

And let’s be fair - Leon took over a dumpster fire and has them winning 4 playoff series over the last 3 years with back to back 50 win seasons.

But the look forward is very scary. Bloated cap sheet, no picks for the next 6 years. All built around a high usage, undersized guard who turns 29 this summer.

Not true, we actually got better during the course of the playoffs…

Pacers were just had more chemistry than us

it got to the point in the playoffs where we decided to stagger kat and brunson as much as possible so both could get theirs, they don't work together.

You could point to that, but I also think there are a ton of advanced stats that indicate there is room for growth with that duo…. (Off the top of my head, I think they were one of the only duos in NBA history to average 20 ppg in the first 5 games of the conference finals)…

KAT and bridges been here one year and we got to the ECF, it would be a panic move to blow it up now

Game 1 will forever haunt this franchise as the "Ghost of Reggie Miller" chokejob.

It's 10x worse than 8 points in 9 seconds.

That game one loss though… holy crap that was the worst thing I’ve seen in maybe two decades of Knicks ball.

KAT was awful today — not sure how he bounces back from that

But weren’t 0g and Mikal much, much worse as far as impact in the series? Together they make more than KAT

I don’t have faith in KAT but my main goal would be to trade those two

Red Vines wrote:Like so many great scorers before him, Brunson has to learn to do it as a team. He also has the added responsibility as PG to manage the game better. I think he'll learn a lot from these playoffs.

I think he's going to grow, but I think some guys are envisioning Brunson all of a sudden becoming Steve Nash or something when I think the person we should be trying to copy is Steph Curry, and the best help we can give Brunson is a Draymond Green type.

So the former Knick battle in the finals is Obi Toppin vs iHart, one of them will have a ring before us. :-?

0 expectations outside of the draft and we fumbled that too with the exception of some our later picks.

TBH there was always the big WHAT IF regarding adding Mikal...now it's out of our system. Rose should now feel free to do whatever is needed with this roster regardless of Villanova.

Great offense but terrible defense. It’s not on any single person though.

JB for the right price. I will call Dallas and see if they want Brunson back for that 1st pick and K.Irving.

JB and McBride for that 1st pick and K.Irving.

Hire Malone and we win the championship next season.

Absolutely insane to put blame this series on KAT. This is a sweep w/ 2 blowouts in IND if he didn’t take control.

Than I'm insane. Game 1 drops, Game 2 drops. Doesn't manner how many buckets you put up if you can't follow the D game plan. When I was at the garden for Game 2, the amount of times I could hear MIkal or OJ or Mitch yelling on D at KAT was ABSOLUTELY insane to me for an ECF game. They've had over 100 games to work on this ****.

Oh, and Hart. He had a rough one, too.

Game 1? Are you serious??? he got us a 15 pt lead with 4 mins left.

35 pts 12 rebs 11-17 FG 4-8 3PT 9-11 FT

Game 1. Where he wasn’t anywhere near guarding Nesmith. Sure. All his fault.
