Think of it from Leons perspective:

A GM that just brought in a player for 5 first round picks and then a 250Million dollar contract wasnt going to stand for those players underwhelming or having their weaknesses constantly exposed.
New reality of Son ship!
All who receive and believe in Jesus, given the right to become children of God. Not born of flesh, but born of Spirit. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Glory that came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

we'll see. i read a few posts that said it's a well known secret. is malone caa ?

CP on KnicksfanTV has been saying it will def not be Malone...he was the one that broke Mitch into the starting lineup he is tight with Begley and I think he has some inside info...maybe not on player moves but seems connected to coaching stuff.

i would think they know who they're hiring before doing this. they would want to make sure they have someone in tow that they're confident about.

correct I think they have to have a short list.

It is interesting that the Johnnie Bryant news of him being a finalist in PHX dropped yesterday. Not sure if related.

Thibs got a nice 30 mil paycheck to retire with on top of the millions he already had. I hope he goes out there and lives his life. Don’t end up like Belichick!

this is my only problem with this. thibs made some mistakes but this wasn't one of them. gotta change the roster if you're really serious about winning it all.

I wouldn't mind if we get SPo and win a chip before Pat the rat becomes too senile to know.

Knicks trying to pry Spo from Miami would be epic

I feel kind of bad/weird how happy this news makes me. I don't dislike Tom - he did a lot of good things here. But I was a big believer he wasn't a fit for the roster and the change was needed (at minimum forcing an offensive coordinator or something).

I think the possibility is exciting - hopefully the new guy is a creative coach schematically.

Get Brunson off ball more. If Kat is here need to generate open looks for him and actions off of it when teams try to stop it (pin down screens, screener cuts to basket etc)

Our chances to reach the ECF and Finals in 2026 just went up by quite a bit.

Thank you Thibs for your service. Now onto the next hopefully better coach.

you're forcing thibs to coach kat a 3rd time ?

I mean, I think they have this dank relationship now. Be a shame to separate them. Also Booker and KAT is a much better combination than JB and KAT. The Suns real problem is having Beal's contract - and not being able to trade him without his give go - on their books. If they could flip Beal's salary for peanuts they could go again with KAT/Booker in two years time. I mean, it's Phoenix, never going to be a title-winning franchise, but w/e.
