Ok well Mike brown went 13-18 and got fired. I wonder if any coaching mistakes took place there

All coaches make mistakes, but there are levels to mistakes. Do you not recall our record during the season to the top teams in the NBA? We couldn't win a game. Inexcusable! We got lucky with the Celtics. Their piss poor shooting and our huge deficit comebacks were miraculous. 99 times out of 100 we probably lose that series if the universe is in order. Brown is better than Thibs IMO.

What a waste of Brunsons prime.

He's not as bad as fizdale, he's more like Mike Woodson

I'm gonna give MB a fair shot here. I at least know that our offense should be unstoppable. Everything else, I don't know.

Maybe he gets Karl to stop doing dumb sh*t. Maybe not. But he gets a clean slate from me starting now.

Keon probably doesn't want to come one guy Mike Brown didn't play enough for some reason

we moved off of our coach, due in no small part, for not playing the kids for another who also doesn't like playing the kids. great

They didn’t move off Thibs for not playing the kids. And that’s also a non issue with Brown because the Knicks have 10 rotation players without even factoring them into it.

I don’t think there’s any evidence that we moved off the coach for not playing the kids. That always seemed like a fan desire not an organizational one. And well this hire seems further proof of that.

I do hope if we have ones that work hard and flash real talent deserve to play get some kind of chance if it’s warranted

Anyone coaching Lebron should get an asterisk next to those years.

Thibs had a team led by Randle most of the time here.

Brown would not be hired if he wasn't opening to working with the kids and in collaboration with the front office.

That doesn't mean all of the kids will play, but i doubt he glues serviceable players like Huk and Kolek to the bench for no reason either. And I doubt he runs a 7 man rotation.

You honestly don't think that the FO had serious conversations with Brown about developing the bench and young players? They obviously feel confident that he's on the same page with them.

Hopefully he gets to add defensive minded coach; before he got fired the 31 games that he coached the kings were giving up an average of 114 pts per game.

I think those who expect Brown to run 11 deep and play Kolek, Dadiet and Huk are going to be disappointed.

The Knicks only have one guy under 23 on the roster and he'd be the 12th man under any coach.

JB was in God mode during that game. You can't guard God mode, and Jalen said not tonight. You just tip your hat to those types of game. The statement by brown is saying he threw the defensive book at him and it didn't work. How is that not an adjustment?

idk this is a guy that would bench keon ellis and give him straight DNPs after making mistakes on the court. it doesn't seem implausible
