Will be interesting to see where Emeka Okafor signs if at all this season, He could be a realistic rim protecting option for next year...

** Jahlil Okafor is worth 2 draft picks and since the Knicks don't have a 1st round pick for 2016, they should select OK4 and trade down for two 1st rounders (Kaminsky & Jerian Grant or Delon Wright )

lol we would have had the pleasure of seeing Amare and Deron Williams then. So no it wouldn't have been for the better.

In all honesty Deron Williams and Amare in the right system, (which we had at the time) would've been a huge success

yeah 6 years ago. Lets not take into account how bad our defense would have been and how quickly they would have been injured and look at deron Williams and his contract now.

yes. we are one of many teams who passed on whiteside... who really had been playing like a scrub until very recently.

hard to look at that in a vacuum. perhaps there are other factors like coaching and team makeup as to why he suddenly is thriving in miami. too easy to say, "why did we pass on this obvious star?" he was rightly panned for years because he didn't show much.

Donnie did a lot of mistakes... not hiring Thibs, signing Amare, not convincing enough to stop Dolan from getting in his way and in the end not enough cap space, picks and assets to get CP3... not to mention picking Fields ahead of Lance or missing out on Curry in 2008... PS: and some questionable trades, too, prior to that

we should have sacrificed the 2018 first rounder for Dragic... and wait for the 2016 FA class (in case Gasol or LMA wont come)... maybe Phil should've kept Iman away from that trade and send him in Phoenix along with the 2018 first and Calderon

I don't see him relishing the role as backcourt mate to Bledstoe

also you have to think that Port will be torn on spending for Affalo and Mathews

they may be willing to let Mathews walk in favor of Affalo if its for 10mil coming on the heels, too soon I know, of his injury

I agree. I would like Brandon Knight on the Knicks. But who is going to give Mathews 10 mill per year now? He'd be lucky to get 3 years at 15 mil. He's about to be 30 and suffered a torn Achilles. That's a high risk low reward deal at 10 per

Suns will match whatever offer Knight gets. He's restricted and they're not going to let him go after giving up the Lakers pick for him. And I don't want him, he plays good defense but he chucks more often than not. Bucks fans used to call him hero ball.

No more giving up firsts...ever. This league is unpredictable. One season we might be great and then the next total crap. We're probably going to rush the rebuild and overpay some guys because we don't have our pick next season. No more of that.
