KP should have gone after him, needs to retaliate when someone tries to injure him. Not sure what's so difficult for you to understand.

Worthless dealing with you any more. /discussion

Maybe he has more Heart in the NBA. Cause the agression and the force is like night and Day with Chriss vs Randolph. Thats why I said I dont think he is a punk overall, cause I respected that got right at Chriss Last year when it happened.

He was playing for his country. In a quarterfinal, trying to help team come back in the last minutes of the game. He had 4 fouls already. Why he should get himself ejected from the game? He's was vital for Latvia's offense, so why do you or anyone want him retaliate like that? Clearly, Randolph was trying to do just that, eliminate him from game. He started provoking him from the first minutes. If you want to blame someone, just blame the latvian coach. He told already before the game that players should act cool and not answer back to cheap shots and dirty play from opposing team(s).

Can't help it, I'm a Knicks fan and want them to have a star in the future. To be a star needs to be stronger mentally and physically, and not afraid of Randolph.

Well you should probably understand a little bit of context - KP had 4 fouls already. In Eurobasket 5th foul means end of game. So I am actually proud of KP being able to suppress his instincts to hit Randolph.
If you have forgotten, then KP started this summer by taking up boxing and sparring with best Latvian boxer. So he is perfectly able to deal with randophs.

The quote is from 2 years ago, if I recall. Anyway, I get your point, but I hope you understand that there are moments when you have to act smart, not just react on instincts. Was Gallinari right to puch the opponent in a friendly match, break his hand and miss the whole Euro and maybe the training camp too? I bet if that happened with KP this Kampuchea troll would say KP was stupid to start fighting, and that he can't even punch anyone without breaking hand or something like that.

Gallo got paid in full to be on vacation all while increasing his street cred at the same time. Id say it was worth it. 8-)

In all serious though, If a 7 foot man trys to hurt you, you need to hurt him back. KP is going to get pushed around and picked on his entire career if he doesn't stand up for himself. I gained respect for Gallo for what he did. Some would say was stupid, but sometimes you gotta let that thug out.

Matches are lost like that. I mean, Latvia was behind with very little hope, but still a hope. I don't think anyone in Latvia would be happy if KP made this Eurobasket famous with starting a boxing match on the court. We already had one player doing that before, and nobody liked it.

You are comparing a game of basketball, to the health and well being of a person. Randolph tried to physically harm/injure KP. If I was on that Latvian team, Randolph is getting duffed or slammed. Instantly. No hesitation. One or the other. Gotta stick up for yourself, and when a person/human takes a game and makes it personal by trying to hurt somebody and possibly end their career...Yeah...that dude has to pay for that action. Idc if its 100-100. Im putting Randolph on Worldstar if im KP.

I hope Randolph gets back in the league. I want to see what happens when they face off again.

Its funny how Kobe was always praised for his cold blooded assassin skills. Never reacted to these soft "hold me back" guys and just killed them with his game. Here you want 20something kid try boxing match with a guy who is irrelevant. And in process maybe injury his hand.

So, if KP gets injured during the fight, the fact he retaliated would mean it wasn't a stupid injury?

I don't know, I guess if they met again on court KP would still try to outplay him in the game first, not start fighting at the first opportunity.

**** happens. Gotta stand up for yourself or he is going to be bullied his whole career. What Randolph did was already an attempt at injury. Kp is KP, but if I was KP...I would have reacted much differently...and 99% sure my hand would be ok afterwards

NBA is full of pussies.

THere are like 1k+ NBA games in a season, and we saw how many? Like one incident were punches were thrown. (Rolo and Ibaka)

Zaza basically ruined Spurs entire season by injuring their star player, and they did nothing to him. :nonono:

Kobe got into it with people on more then one occasion. Chris Childs, Vince Carter, Reggie Miller...Few others. Kobe talked so much **** on the court...but he could back it up also.

Jordan got into fights
Reggie Miller got into fights

Are you 5 years old? Serious question. Why does he need to retaliate when he just spent the entire game **** on him...? Hm?

People who think he "should have gone after him" have something wrong with the way they think. This isn't a game on the playground or anything like that. "Street cred" means jack **** in real life.
