But it should take Knox a few years to be able to be a 4.

Portis would make sense on a shorter deal - in the no max cats or one max cat scenario, I guess.

But I bet you prefer Randle! :D

:D

Kidding aside, there's a case for Randle AND DLo.

Risky though. An entire FO - scouts, GM, development guys, would have to feel they not only will meet the money, but exceed it.

If we bring big FAs, George Hill, Wayne Wellington and Robin Lopez are good names to add our roster. Although, I cant see so many SGs in roster. We will lose Frank, Dotson or Trier. And another of them would be out of rotation.

Lotta smoke on Twitter that Minnesota has a deal lined up to clear max money for Dlo. Who in their right mind is taking on that Wiggins contract? Can they get to that number without moving him?

If we strike out. I cant see them in the team because we have few roster spots and 70M+ to spend.

So what’s the deal with Myers and Curry in New York for a meeting? Are they traveling to New York to have a video conference cause that’s all we’ve heard KD is doing. Am I missing something?

This is how it works:

The Nets, Knicks, Clippers, whoever else has two max cat room - all of them did a good thing to get where they are as teams. All of them exist on some location of a rebuild. Obviously the Clippers did the best, getting the playoffs in the west, then Nets, by virtue of the playoffs (even in the crappy east) then Knicks. One team will win out.

THEN the sportswriters will spin this narrative of the superlative job the "winner" did, and how the other teams failed, particularly if one is the Knicks.

It just can't simply be, they did ok, then one team won out, for whatever reason. I don't mind attempts to explain why, to the extent it matters, but we all know it just gets carried away. More than anything, that's annoying.

an expiring dieng and another two years of convington gets it done. but they would have to give up a 1st for that at least i would think.

edit - also teague is expiring. that should cost less.

I guarantee you these FA's and there friends are literally cashing in $50M+ extra just throwing smoke out there changing the odds. Literally if you know there decision can bet whatever they want online and shift into bitcoin. Government wouldn't even probably be able to tax you. Has anybody not through about this?

C'mon man.

A lot of things in life don’t make sense. Durant wants what he wants. The ego wants what it wants.

yeah, who made the playoffs or not is mostly inconsequential. once these teams strip it down enough to afford the kd max and another max, there really aint much left on any team. the difference is minimal.

Durant will be 32 when he’s able to play. He’s not 32 now, good try.
