prime target w/ that Dallas pick....unless the Mavs somehow miss the playoffs

My #1 target is David Duke right now. I think his upside is much more bigger than Butler’s imo

His name is awful but his upside is pretty high. Some mocks are starting to put him in the first round now. I think he’d be so good for us

Z.Williams kinda reminds me of Tayshaun Prince, haven't watch a ton of him but that's my initial impression. Tall, lanky, thin, bouncy, skilled on both ends.... Prince was a really nice wing in his day. I guess Ingram fits that description, too.

Whoever the Knicks target for any player acquired they should possess the baseline skill set of 3 point shooting and defensive ability then also have 'plus' skills such as passing, dribble penetration, shot blocking and such.

Can't build a winning team by getting players that are limited to a single skill or one dimensional on one end of the court. Well rounded, two way players that have 'plus skills' potential for every guy gotten creates a higher ceiling, higher floor dynamic for the player and the team.

AKA just get Ziaire Williams, Jared Butler & Scottie Lewis 8-)

His ceiling offensively is more Paul George/Brandon Ingram than Tayshaun Prince, but Prince wouldn't exactly be a disappointing outcome

Well the good thing is the Knicks will have 4 chances to find someone that can make an impact in the 2021 Draft.

I'm still not quite keen on the guys in the mid 1st but a couple guys that seem interesting to me later on in the draft are Luka Garza from Iowa, Franz Wagner from Michigan and Malcolm Cazalon from France.

Garza has been going nuts though this season and I wouldn't be surprised if he skyrockets if he keeps this up and is a top pick in the 2021 draft. Talking about a big 6'11" 265lb center that is averaging 26.5ppg, 62.5%fg, 47.9%3pt, 140 offensive rating, 98 defensive rating, 17.5bpm. :o And he's got an attack dog mentality, he's charismatic. Fans will love how intense he plays and he should be able to handle playing in NY. He'd be a nice offensive compliment to Robinson off the bench.

Cazalon is physically mature, extremely smooth, has great body and ball control and just carries himself as a guy that can develop into an NBA player. Some guys just looks like a player. That's Cazalon. And it's not just physically.

Wagner is just an extremely, extremely skilled and advanced basketball player that can do so many different things. He's not the most athletic or explosive guy but he's sneaky quick. And he just gets the job done no matter what defense you throw at him or how you play him.

Outside of the top guys Cade and the Jalens.

Bouknight, Moody, and Zaire should be the targets. If we could flip our assets (aka picks) to come away with two of them I would be ok with it.

Wagner is interesting, but I have a tough time seeing Garza making it in the NBA...the kid he makes Kanter's feet look nimble.

Yes. I think you can work with his limited foot speed. How he plays factors in as a plus to me. There are still big guys, offensive centric guys in the NBA that are major impact guys.

My issue is that Garza will need to be almost Jokic-caliber offensively just to be playable. Cause I'm having a tough time thinking of any centers in the NBA who are as bad as Garza defensively and actually play. The only guys who are that slow & soft defensively are end of bench guys who never actually get on the court, like Kornet. I'm taking Toppin as a smallball 5 over Garza defensively...and that's not exactly a tough decision.

Garza is like Sharife Cooper to me; skilled enough to dominate at the college level, but his physical limitations are going to make it very hard for him to carve out an NBA career for himself. Which is why I think there are better gambles to make.

I'm with you on Wagner though, not sure there's that big of a difference between him & Kispert. Both can do things with the ball at the college level & have the shooting to lean on even if the rest of their games won't translate to the NBA.

ideal 1st round scenario:

w/ some lottery luck land Jalen Green, use the Mavs pick (assuming it lands in the 20-25 range) on Jared Butler

I need to see the GLeague guys play full games. Tough for me to get hyped just from clips.
