Do you blame him? We’re in for some kind of rebuild with a new - and, as of yet, unknown - QB. We’re a big mess.

what's his trade value? low 1st, high 2nd?

Rodgers? Just guessing … 2nd/3rd at best. What’s his value as a starting QB on a contending team? I would say, only as a backup with a young starting QB.

I've been thinking about the tanking thing. It takes a lot more than high draft picks to build a winning team. I don't think last week's win was the biggest problem. I thought they had a chance this year, but they drafted poorly and badly coached and . . . I don't even know. Cursed, maybe?

. . . worst owner in sports. A strong argument could be made for that. They're tied for the longest playoff drought.

https://www.foxsports.com/stories/mlb/12-longest-active-playoff-droughts-in-nfl-nba-mlb-nhl

I'm still going to watch the draft and off-season with interest. I don't mind rooting for a bad team.

It’s. It just the tanking issue though. It was also a chance to see some of the backups perform in game conditions in order to get a better sense of what assets we have and what they might be worth going into the offseason.

Yeah, agreed on Rodgers. Wilson should get us back a first. Watch his career take off after he's gone.

If I were a team in contention I absolutely would trade a 1st for Wilson.

Why is twitter saying Woody Johnson shot down a Jerry Jeudy trade over Madden ratings? Please tell me this is a meme and didn't come from a legitimate source.

Joe Douglas wasted no time running to the Athletic and airing all the dirty laundry fam

It's a little misleading but apparently Woody would bring his teenage sons to team meetings and they are the ones who would reference Madden ratings to him.

Woody is a joke. Been worse than Dolan for a long time

Lmao, Joe Douglas wants everyone to know "this wasn't my fault." But his draft picks were way too boom or bust for me. He had some serious hits, which earned time from me, but the misses accumulated way more.

Still...I can't get this fool Woody bringing kids to team meetings where they mention Madden out of my head. It reminds me of a scene in Game of Thrones (House of Dragons actually) where the king's toddler is at a war council distracting everyone. We've got Game of Thrones goofy king levels of shenanigans.

Yeah I know the exact scene you're talking about

Jets basically need their version of Leon Rose. Somebody who has Woody's complete trust and will basically keep him away from personnel decisions as much as possible. But, it's a really bad sign the kids are involved because it's a lot harder to reason with a teenager than it is a fully grown adult

Once you give a kid that kind of influence and power they don't usually like to give it up. We may just be effed until Woody hopefully sells.

Unfortunately that Madden thing is VERY real. A 16 year old and an 18 year old have that kind of pull in the halls of Florham Park. They attend org meeting with him and all. The article had the Broncos FO in disbelief that the deal fell apart because Woody thought Jeudy's Madden rating, given to him by his sons, meant he wasn't worth the deal Douglas had worked out.

It's insane! It's too bad the kids aren't a little younger, otherwise Denver coulda sweetened the pot by throwing in a John Elway rookie card and a PS5. :banghead:

That article confirms what a joke of a franchise the Jets are. I'm glad I decided to stop watching games and haven't looked back.

People need to stop buying tickets to games. Oh well. A fool and his money are soon parted.

Jets fans need to boycott the team and demand en masse that Johnson sell the team and that the new owner move it back to New York.

I know who we need!!!

STEVE COHEN. And he’d build a football stadium right in Queens next to Citi Field. This needs to happen.
