They will battle for the 10th spot and fail to make it.

Let’s keep an eye on that. My guess is they’ll trade the #4 pick and make the playoffs next year.

Given that they have such a high draft pick to offer this year, along with Davion Mitchell and plenty of serviceable veterans on very reasonable contracts, I could even see them in the running for top players such as Donovan Mitchell, OG Anunoby or, dare I say, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Fox
SGA/Donovan Mitchell
DiVincenzo
Harkless
Sabonis

They’ll be good even if that doesn’t happen.

Sabonis and Fox is just a lower middle class man's Randle and RJ. I'm not betting on them to make the playoffs in the West.

We shall see.

They are definitely in better position than us to make a big trade to add to their foundation. But their foundation sucks.

Fox and Sabonis are much better than Randle and RJ …

Probably, but I don't think they are a good duo to build a team around.

I don't even think they are a good duo to build a team with.

Both make it challenging to build a team: Fox is ball-dominant and (mildly) inefficient, which is not a recipe for team success. Not to mention he's not a threat from 3, so he shrinks the floor and hurts his team when he's off the ball. Sabonis is a great offensive player but he will always hurt you defensively because there's no place to hide him in today's NBA.

Also they like to play at different speeds so they are an awkward fit to begin with.

But anyways, we'll see. I don't see them finishing better than 10th. I think that's their ceiling. They'll probably finish 11th or 12th in West in my opinion (barring a trade for another star, where they could possibly make the playoffs via the play-in tournament).

You’re right, but despite public opinion, they are putting it together.

Good for them. If I gave a f*ck about the Kings, I might even care.

Unfortunately, for some idiotic reason, I've decided to be a Knicks fan. I really don't know why anymore.

Johnnie Bryant is gone Folksssss……….!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New York Knicks associate head coach Johnnie Bryant—who played collegiately at the University of Utah from 2005-08 and developed a close relationship with Mitchell during the second half of Bryant's stint as a Jazz player development coach from 2012-20—is considered to be a leading candidate for the position. Utah has made no bones about placating Mitchell's interests, from trading for his childhood friend Eric Paschall to changing the team's medical staff and bringing on Mitchell mentor Dwyane Wade as a minority ownership figure.

Hiring Bryant would be consistent with the franchise's recent behavior of building around its superstar guard, especially as talk has increased among NBA personnel about Mitchell's potential to request a trade before the end of his contract.

There are questions around the league about whether Jazz CEO of basketball operations Danny Ainge will be amenable to catering to Mitchell and his representation. But if Mitchell and Jazz chairman Ryan Smith are aligned on Bryant, or any other candidate, league sources with knowledge of the situation don't expect Ainge to stand in the way.

I'm used to stories of Isiah Thomas lurking in the shadows, J-Lin leaving the Knicks, Phil Jackson blasting Melo publicly, KP skipping interviews, Derek Fisher dating Matt Barnes's ex-wife, Derrick Rose disappearing, Randle giving fans the thumbs down...

I'm gonna need more drama than this.

and people still think Woodson, Payne, and Bryant taking interviews in their first season on the staff was just a coincidence.

Thibodeau has been using Marc Berman to put out these articles throughout the 2021-2022 season.

Just need to get this off my chest

Dear Covid,

Seriously, fck you. Yes, you killed millions and you infected me twice already, but mostly fck you for giving us a full season of empty arenas for fake hustle players like Randle to shine in. Without you covid, Julius Randle would have spun in the lane and continued to turn over the ball two seasons ago and Leon Rose would have had no choice but to let him run out his contract.

But noooooooo! You had to go and ruin everything for us you spawn of bat dung chit weaseling virus! Instead of being free of the curse of the dubious handling one we now have to endure the site of his big watery eyes moping from the sidelines whenever his teammates take away his shine. Thanks to you you no good lung sliming pestilence we have to watch this heavily muscled child bleat like a stuck pig to the refs while the opposing team charges downcourt and scores with 5 men on 4.

Stuff it Covid I hate you!

Sincerely GFTO and take that annoying bastard with you,
Clyde
