What a intro.

Can't believe he brought the sign he had as a kid to the press conference.

I had no idea he was such a die hard Yankee fan. That's amazing.

He's gonna handle being a Yankee just fine.

Talks for Hader may include Andujar? That's the word on the street. I know nothing about Hader.

Hmm not sure about it. Hader is top notch reliever but I think Andujar would be one of the better DHs. If we trade Andujar, I rather it be in a big package for a stud, a guy like Lindor preferably, not a reliever which is already a strength .

I'd forget about Hader if it means losing Andujar, if they'll take Gio I'd do it, but they won't.

What I'd do is give Jordan Montgomery the 5th starters job, and have Domingo German be a more effective Betances. I think German can be dominant there and Betances' inability to hold baserunners was a big issue for me.

If Montgomery is back to form, he's a quality starter and another lefty in the rotation.

Forget Hader.

if it ends up being a 3 year deal something went horribly wrong.

We all need to hope its a 1 year deal because that means he recovered well from the achillies/shoulder. We want him to have a really good year next year and then he will opt out of the $6 million and get $3 opt out. Its basically a prove it 1 year deal with an injury safety clause for 2 more years if he doesn't perform well from his end.

This is a deal that neither the mets or betances want to be a 3 year deal. Both want it to be 1 year with high production and its structured like that.

Cashman should have ponied up to pay him. Too bad Levine's small manhood and fragile ego said no.

German won 18 games as a starter, why would we use him to be a reliever? He's proved he can pitch 5 plus innings consistently, Betances can't do that.

As we all know plans can go to sh*t and half the rotation/bullpen can go on the IL at any time. So it's best to play it safe and get as much help as we can.
