Build a Franchise Discussion- Season 3

Let me make this clear as well. If tanking is an issue- so be it - I wont tank...Implement the rule...I am willing to follow
the rules...

I benched my starters for 1 month. Not a significant amount of the season. My intentions was never to tank and get a number one pick when I already have a great amount of talent on my team. I did it to evaluate other players and try to understand the SIM better. Stop lying to everyone. When I did benched my starters I was already in the lottery. Since I did that, I found out point BAM is a beast and I have started my best players along with point bam to have the best possible chance of winning and trying to get into the playoffs. As a result, my team is still ass but I am not going out like a coward like context and tanking shamelessly which is affecting other teams trying to reach into the playoffs as well.

Let’s not forget that this dude was in my PM telling me I’m gonna “f*ck up his food” cause he directly admitted to me that he is going to tank for the next couple of years.

My team is winning the same amount of games I was when I benched my starters. If anything, I was better when I benched my starters. I beat teams like Indiana, Minnesota, Portland.. etc.

But he swear what he doing is the same thing I did. Always pointing fingers to someone else to deflect responsibility for your own actions. Keep acting like the victim and ignoring the facts. This is why we want you kicked out.

My unbiased thoughts...
Can we not kick people out of this game? Especially committed ones? I just read the last few pages and I just feel many of the things Context is being accused of are done by multiple GMs privately and publicly...not just him. He has stated that he’s willing to abide by any rules Bish puts in place (which I think there should be a few)...especially in regards to tanking (Which is being done by multiple GMs). BAF is FUN man, would hate to see an active member be removed. No matter who it is.

He has stated that he’s willing to abide by any rules Bish puts in place (which I think there should be a few)...especially in regards to tanking (Which is being done by multiple GMs). BAF is FUN man, would hate to see an active member be removed. No matter who it is.

I feel I have gotten along with both sides so I have no dog in this fight even if things have gotten a bit out of hand and on one side in particular. While most of the drama has centered around 1 person, I don't think it's right to ban him if we declared this board to be "hamsterdam" and we can't penalize him for tanking if there are no rules against it. I know this was "hamsterdam" so I just scrolled on by most of the posts. If we want to institute some board etiquette rules and/or anti-tanking rules which was the match that lit much of the fire, I'm all for it, but I think the strike count has to start from that point.

Although, bish is the one who invested in the software and is giving us his time. It's his call as far as I'm concerned and I'm comfortable with whatever he decides.

I wasn't involved in previous BATs so was unaware of that. Also unaware that this was bish's decision. If that is the case, as I said, I'm comfortable with bish's decision.

Same here man I get along with all those guys. So I’m just tying to keep the fun in this game. Definitely think the board etiquette/anti-tanking (which has always caused some strife) should be the first step. Also think a minimum amount of trades allowed per team may not be a bad idea lol. Sometimes we trade cause we’re “bored”. Many guys have come on here saying “I’m bored who wants to deal” It’s not fair to Bish.

I think this is a special case, because as I said, the fact that he has a history of being difficult factors in, like if it was his first go we might have done it differently

I'm never a fan of removing people from the game, but he's been causing a lot of problems for us behind the scenes that make our jobs harder on the rest of the board. I'm more than fine with some BaF beef, it's like half the reason I read this thread, but when it starts spilling over into the general threads, it's an issue. We're not punishing him in any other manner, he'll still be on the board and all

So it's really a combination of that and him making it unenjoyable for multiple other GMs. It's also like with how we deal with bans/suspensions on the board, we've given him multiple chances, tried multiple times to get him to chill, this is just our hand being forced

We should have it be by vote in the future, but we need to make sure it doesn't get abused, like, I don't want to make bish have to hold a vote every other week that we know won't get passed because a few people really don't like one other person

Hate to lose an active GM, but I can understand why.

I’ve gotten into plenty of meaningless banter with him, but I’m not one to take the bait or feel the need to defend myself. No offense to all you guys, love many of you and our interactions, some more personal than others...but I’m a grown ass man with my own wife and kids, I could careless to do the back and forth on a message board.

It’s easy to get caught up when he’s constantly instigating or feeling so personally attacked that he’ll go to the end of the earth to defend himself. It ain’t that serious, never was.

I always found him more annoying than harmful...but to each their own.

I know how much he loved BAF tho, and I never took him personally.

I can respect this post...I am guilty of defending myself fiercely... For the record, if I would have been told -
if you respond to posts that you find very offensive we will remove you from the game- I would have ignored the thread completely.

I could have easily been banned from posting in the discussion thread but to ban me permanently from the team I built-
that is harsh. I was willing to play out my team and never participate in the threads. Yet, what I have done is so
bad that all the good that I have done matters none...

Ron artest went into the stands and assaulted fans- IMO that deserved a permanent ban. I dont...I have given this
game a ton of my time and energy. I have gotten along with many gms who have no issues with me.

I ran two BAT's and gave my all to them. Then I felt I wasnt appreciated and ran into conflict- once again- theres only
talk of how difficult I was and no talk of me getting 2 hours of sleep running those two bats...
