Taking back Westbrook is a non starter.

Yup. Because KD leaves. That should have been obvious.

Exactly. If KD asked out after Kyrie did, that's one thing. I have to think that KD was aware of what was coming back and signed off on it. Just my speculation of course, so don't hold me to that

Spencer and DFS aren't Kyrie but they will fill needs and won't throw a grenade in the locker room and blame everyone else.

Most likely the Nets are probably trying to flip what they got from Dallas to another team looking to sell salary, like Chicago maybe

I think Russ would be waived if not served as a filler in a deadline deal.

Maybe a three team deal with the Lakers could have worked. Those picks are gold.

I think Marks is still trying to salvage the season. If KD wasn't on board, Kyrie is probably a Laker

KD doesn't give a **** about high draft picks. Without an immediate talent return he gone 100%.

As I mentioned to MDB maybe a 3 team deal does it but they probably didn't have time to set that groundwork.

Eh it was already the 18th pick without him and there’s 28 games left maybe they push it into the 20s but it doesn’t make much of a difference tbh

I tend to agree. There was still the hope of the Mavericks dropping in a tight west but I think Luka alone wins you around 45 games. Also Dinwiddie was performing really effective and well for them (18points/5assists 46%/41%/82%) and Dorian-Finney Smith is a very solid 3 and D guy so the difference may not be as great as the trade suggests.

True if kyrie gets injured or posts more nazi propaganda and gets suspended it could be even worse for them without dfs and dimwitted. But the pick is an afterthought to me

When Cuban’s desperate Kyrie experiment fails, I wonder what happens to Luka.
"Sell the team. Sell the team. Sell the team."

Return to New York Knicks
