I hope that whoever is running the Knicks is not dumb enough to waste their one amnesty waive in order to overpay Tyson Chandler. That provision is a get out jail free card should Amare's knee not hold up - and it should be retained at least through the next season.

There are still a bunch of unanswered questions...

Like what's gonna happen with Chauncey? Are we gonna sign and trade him? Amnesty? trade him to a team with cap space (extremely unlikely now)?
This has a huge effect on what we do next. Sure either way we get Chandler, but the question is if we sign and trade for him, then we still get the MLE (and maybe something from Dallas like Barea) or if not we only get the room exception.

What's gonna happen with Grant Hill? (Kinda depends on the answer to the first question)

Who's gonna play PG? We gonna trade for/ sign one? Wait for amnesty?

So many quesitons!?!?! I'm so hyped

Scola and Martin played near all-star level last season. On top of that they get Dragic

Yeah actually - I thought we were only a bit over the cap, and Billups + Turiaf = $18 million right? So we should be under the cap!

We have to be under the cap, that's the only way to sign Tyson. So just get Baron first with cap room, then sign Tyson. I guess we could get outbid on Baron though.

But doesn't it then count against your cap space? Whereas a vet min contract can be offered even when you're over the cap.... Don't know if that would make a difference.
