With China having their own govt backed virtual currency, I think Bitcoin is essential. Just my 2 cents

If anything, the government will find ways to tax the **** out of it, causing people in the US to get out (like what happened a few weeks ago when Biden said he's going to raise taxes on capital gains, etc), or find a new alternative. Then they'll tax that. And the cycle will continue.

Then we'll all become citizens of El Salvador.

Can you still buy XRP anywhere?

You can on Uphold but it also depends on where you live in the US. Apparently each state has different crytpo laws.

The Apes are uncovering the sheer corruption of the stock market. It seems that these hedge fund companies doesn't even have the money to covber most of their "own" shares, since they borrow the money from: Chase, BOA, Mellon Bank etc.

Then they use the shares to push stocks down by buying low and then systematically selling in bunches to push stock values down while shorting them.

Wall Street Corruption is being exposed by the millennials, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

Tbh, we will be begging them to come back once they take their ball and go home.

This is their game. We are just playing it.

I guess this is a dip.

I'm an average Joe, but I have some rich friends. Most own their own businesses or VCs. They are all really big into Crypto, mostly just Bitcoin and ETH, and they go to all these Bitcoin events. It seems like the rich really think this is the future.

Dunno.. Just saying, unless this is some scheme by the rich to pump BTC and dump it on us, I don't see it dipping hard anytime soon. I doubt we ever see it go below 25k again.

Napster was shut down, I expect the same to happen for a lot of cryptos that's not regulatory compliant.

I agree. Our government will find ways to tax, regulate, and ruin it for us, especially those of us without a lot of money.

Nothing can stay unregulated or decentralized for long in this country.

Well look what recently happened, Mark Cuban lost a ton of money on Iron.finance and their token TITAN which rugpulled and went from $60 to 0 overnight. In fact, mere days before it happened he posted a blog entry shilling the project to his followers, who if they listened to him lost all their money. So now, he is pushing for regulations, and regulations on stablecoins showing that they must prove they have the assets to cover. If they do that, you'd see some serious serious fireworks. Then you had Musk getting in right at the peak, only to FUD about environmental concerns. These billionaires are getting in and then calling for regulations and it's just been dumping and dumping ever since.

My thought is that it's one of two things, either they see it all as a threat to their current wealth and power and are trying to bring it down from the inside, or they do believe in it, and don't want to pay a premium and will manipulate it back down to prices more palatable to them once again before eventually pumping it back up

No it wasn't a rug, it was either a complete oversight by the developers or whales ended up screwing things up.

I was actually in IRON but I didn't lose anything because I wasn't an idiot about it. I simply sold TITAN every day into stables. At worst, a sensible person would have lost about 12% on initial stake on IRON/USDC pool because IRON was guaranteed to be redeemable for 0.75 USDC each. This was the only logical pool in this farm. Also, any sensible person would have at least broken the LP when things started getting ugly, even if they were being patient about it.

He had no experience doing these type of farms and it showed because he was staking the native token in an LP pool that wasn't even paying a yield by the protocol (TITAN/DAI). I think he is not as much of an expert as people believe, he pulled some weak and noob moves.

Only if you are into crowdloans.

For traders, I would simply reference bitcoin which is still in a downtrend.

The macro picture is looking murky short term

The Fed is confusing people and bond yields, USD strength are showing

This may be bad for stocks, commodities, and crypto until they start escalating QE again, which I am guaranteeing will happen soon enough lol

The Fed is an absolute disaster right now
