Knicks in - Kemba and Wes Matthews

MAVERICKS GET
KEVIN KNOX, ENES KANTER

HORNETS GET
DENNIS SMITH JR, FRANK NTILIKINA, KNICKS 2019 FIRST ROUND PICK, FUTURE MAVS SECOND ROUND PICK

Does this make any sense? Why do websites allow these people to make articles?

Wouldn't put it past the Knicks to do this kind of ****.

But that could quite possibly be the worst trade in history.

Then pony up. Vonleh, Dotson, and Mitchel have been only bright spots (maybe mudiay and a hint of Knox).

You want vonleh, who is one of the few players whom deserves to return, gotta give some young asset. Vonleh is only 23? Isn't that younger than Dotson?

Was this reported somewhere? I am quite fond of Zhaire Smith and could see taking a chance on Fultz. Would be willing to move Lee with Vonleh for either of those two and an expiring.

Saw it on bleacher report

As much as I don't want to have to trade assets at this point, I think it's necessary to find a PG that we could grow with. In the upcoming free agency and draft, there really are not many good options. Ja Morant appears to be overrated with an injury history. Kemba is going to be way overpaid. Other than that, the market is dry with good options. Looking at the landscape, it really does make sense to make a play for DSJ. Now, I'm not sure what we can make happen (if anything). Also, it would be really difficult to bring him in and keep Frank...

Going out and trading assets for a PG isn't what I want to do but it seems necessary at this point given the lack of real AVAILABLE talent at the position on the market. How else are we going to acquire a PG that has a chance to be top 10 at the position in 3-5 years? PG is the most important position, by far, in today's game. If you don't want to go this route, what do you suggest? (please don't say Mudiay is the answer)

With that said, I'd be fine with Patrick Beverley for a year or two. Perhaps, Rondo as well.

rondo in a max cat or non max cat situation would be a DOPE fit in the guard rotation. he's just injury prone..cannot be counted on DAILY. but would be a jason kidd type guy for us...

this should be an exciting time for knicks at this deadline...some of these guys in the right spot, their skill sets can be useful to another team..

dont be STOOOOPID knicks. vonleh, booty, tina Jr, kanter, mario, burke, LFT, Lee should all be primed and ready to be shipped out.. dont fool yourself perry.

if at least 3,4 of these guys aren't moved someway via cut, trade, etc.. it would be a big dissapointment.

Not sure if this was posted but.....

Tim MacMahon: (DSJ) has not been banished from the Mavericks. This is not a case of the Mavericks saying, 'hey stay home. we're trying to trade you and we don't want you to get hurt.' This is a case of DSJ deciding 'I'm done here. Let's get a trade going. I don't want to play'."

This is from today's Hoop Collective podcast. Mavs discussion starts around 18 minute mark.

I’d love to bring Luke Kennard here. I understand he’s not getting enough touches given the players on the team and the offense they run. Kennard is a pretty good passer and works the PnR very nicely. I think he’s shooting 37% from 3.

I think so. But not according to the team, at least publicly. Yet Smith is not accompanying the team on its road trip.

Personally, yes, I think he’s going to either Orlando or Phoenix.

Phoenix needs defense. I know they have wanted a pg for a while, but it wouldn't be good for them to get him. Not sure why they don't go for rozier

Would Houston Morey do this?
B.Knight and 2019 or 2020 1st pick(low 20's) for THJ

Would Philly do this?
C.Lee, N.Vonlah for W.Chandler, S.Milton and 2nd rd pick

If so we have our cap space for Durant and etc...

I don't know how Philly values Milton, but I dont see why not. I'd need to see the bulls second round, or one of their first rounders (late 20s) for that trade.

I thought about the Houston thing. Would they want another scorer to help Harden? I don't think they would because he's going to need the ball at all times (losing basketball, in the end, tho. But what do I care, **** Houston and **** Harden). I believe Eric Gordon is back, too. Unless Paul has a setback, I think they're fine. If not, they may want THJr, or a guy like mudiay, etc to help with playmaking.

I think they're going to see how Paul and Gordon turn out up until the deadline. They seem move happy.
