8 and 11 and Marc Gasols huge expiring the baseline of a package
Big game hunting?Spoiler:
8 and 11 are not as attractive as picks in a weak draft full of flawed players. That package wouldn't net much. I think most intelligent GM's already know this is a 3-man draft. Not likely to land any big game. Would be lucky to walk away with a hare or a silly goose.Spoiler:
Yeah, I feel like I'm on the outside looking in, and I'm at the 5th pick
Could be worse, I mean, I do think Hunter or Culver are solid, and there's a chance Garland is still available
Might just go full wildcard and pick Cam or Bol though
Yup. Garland and/or Reddish, to me is where the high end star potential ends. Some people think Little is in that tier but I don't. And at #8 or #11, no savvy GM is gonna give up franchise talent for a role player type which will likely be what is found outside of the top 5/6.
Which is why even with the IRL Knicks it wouldn't be wise to seriously look to trade down in a shallow draft like this.
This isn't the draft to maximize a return on a high salary franchise player type of talent. If you're gonna trade that type of player, seek PLAYERS in return, not picks outside of the top 5/6.
