Don't think it's wetting the bed. He's just pretty limited honestly. It's impressive how far he's taken his still pretty rough game. He's a high pace full court transition guy a la Giannis and these types almost inevitably struggle some when the game slows down in the playoffs and becomes more half court centric.

maybe you've seen him enough...I will admit- I've only seen him in a couple of full games...I thought he was known for his defense?
this not true Mase?

He’s a high motor guy in general and a transition beast. Good defender. Offensive game is still a work in progress.

The people who see Siakam as a superstar are the ones who are disappointed. He’s an above average starter in this league who definitely has the tools to make the jump to the next level. I just feel like the expectations that were placed on him were way too high and kinda unfair.

He’ll still get $400+ offers in BAF though which is just mind-boggling to me, but hey... it’s the BAF way

Figured I'd put this out there to take the temperature in the room...

With the actual NBA draft likely being pushed back until November 18th, what do you all think about our draft date? I know a lot of people have wanted our draft to be the week before the actual draft and now with the idea that there will actually be workouts and a draft combine, does that change things for people and how we approach things? How do you feel about postponing our draft?

It is scheduled, as of now, for the second weekend in October and if people wanted to move it, it would be another four week delay, which obviously is not ideal but it would put us back in line with the NBA assuming they move their draft.

With the NBA 2020-21 season not starting until January at the earliest, our season will be pushed back probably until late January-early February assuming things hold as they have been the past few years.

If you want to vote we can make it a majority rules thing. I don't care how you want to do it either way, just putting it out there to hear people's opinions on it.

all i can say is- i hope that the majority does not want to move it--because I do not want to change the date.

the draft was suppose to happen in June... These workout are pretty irrelevant anyway...the entire year is off...
no one knows when the season will begin...Uncertainty will rule until things get back to normal- IF they ever do...

Honestly, I wouldn't mind if we moved it back

I'm not in a super hurry to get LaMelo on my team, so if people want it to be closer to real life, I'll be fine.

I do like the idea of our draft taking place just before the actual draft, so even if it gets pushed back a little I'm fine with that. While it's a majority decision, it's really only affecting a few people this year.

I’m also voting against pushing the dates back. Stick to the plan. This thing has been drawn out long enough already.

I vote in favor of extending and being closer to real life. There is going to be a huge lag between the start of the season and free agency otherwise since the programmers don't coming out with the updated SIM until about a month after the regular season starts

The game (sim) will come out the same time it usually comes out, it isn't dependent on when the NBA season starts, just like NBA2k21 wasn't delayed.
