What's the point of acquiring draft picks if we put those draft picks in a toxic environment led by the likes of John Wall, Elfrid Payton and Julius Randle? How are we gonna develop them if they keep playing with selfish high-usage bums who can't shoot or play off the ball?

If we had no talented prospects on the roster, like we did in the mid-2000s, sure. But we already have several young players who need to be developed and 5 incoming first round draft picks incoming in the next 3 years.

I get the knock on Randles game but he is pretty professional. Wouldnt call him toxic

I think Randle has his heart in the right place, he just doesn't know how to win and he doesn't fit with RJ and Mitch.

Payton though is more toxic than 10 packs of Kretek a day.

I think randle was tasked with trying to be something more than he is which is a number one option and Payton just doesn’t fit with what this team is trying to do moving foward but I don’t think that word really applies to him either though

It's fun to think about profiting off someone else's Knicks-like mistake. You just need to make sure you take them to the cleaners - something we know all too much about over the years. Clearing Randle, getting unprotected 1sts in '21 & '23, with additional potential considerations, too...message board intrigue for sure.

And while Wall is definitely not a shooter, he may know where we can get a couple.

Yea, a lot of people are letting WAS off the hook easy with their trade proposals.

If they want out of that deal and are getting Westbrook in return, we are making sure they feel it.

Randle would be a great guy on a contenders roster as long as he isn’t the Man there. Dude definitely has a strong work ethic. We are asking him to play above his pay grade is the problem

Worst case scenario both the Wizards and and Mavs picks are in the early 20's. Best case two picks in the teens. Either way it's a lot of ammo to try to move up.

How is Payton and Randle toxic and who says J.Wall will be toxic if we get him? I've never heard of Elf or Randle having any kind of character issues with us and if Wall gets his wish to get out of Wash then why wouldn't he be happy about that? Plus we have a pretty damn legit coaching staff that have all made good names for themselves around the league.
