Portland forgot that Nurkic even exists. They used to look good when they would dump it to Nurk and play give and go and use his offensive skill set but now they just treat him like a rim runner and call him for high pick and roll and then Dame and CJ just dribble off screens. When do you actually allow the man to touch the ball?

FWIW I think that's because they're asking him to a #1 option, whereas on that hypothetical Portland team he'd go back to being a 2nd/3rd option where he has thrived.

Ironically, there’s been plenty of LaVine trade deals posted in the “trades and transactions” area of the site.

I noticed a lot of the fans are down on WCJ and feel like he’s a horrible fit and some think overrated player in general.

I was curious, so I tossed the idea of Mitch, Knox, Frank and a future protected 1st out there to see what the thoughts were. (I love Mitch but don’t see him as untouchable and realize you have to give something to get something. Plus we’d have a lot of cap to work with still to sign bigs)

A lot of them basically said they just want a 1st this year. Some said Randle plus one of our 2021 1st. Some simply said Knox and a 1st (giving them cap space in the process as well).

We still have to spend to the cap floor. I assume the main asset would have to be one of our 1sts or Mitch (plus cap relief).

Regardless, we have assets. LaVine wouldn’t cost as much as a Harden or Beal. LaVine & Randle both at $19M is really beneficial too. Leaves us with a lot of cap. If we trade Mitch, we can go hard after Drummond or someone. Or if we keep Mitch, we could go hard at someone like Lonzo in the off-season. Plus we’d still be in on the draft.

Steph has a chance to break his career high. Actually still surprised his career high is still that 54 at MSG, with the way he's exploded offensively since then I actually though he might have broke that already but he hasn't yet
