I've been saying he wasn't good for ages and I really really wish I was wrong on that. Now he is a toxic contract thats hard to get rid of.

Also I always heard that he was a "hard worker" but now I am hearing that he was slacking off in the summer.

To me he is the third best player in the NBA - Luka and Embiid are comfortably ahead of him.

Yes, unless we are also stipulating that we are relinquishing our rights to that pick as part of the trade.

all RJ has to do is play JUST like hart and his higher talent level would make him a really good player

does he have a higher talent level? josh hart finishes fast breaks all the time. rj gets stuffed. josh won a ring in college, rj didn't. etc

come on he clearly is, that's where the frustration is. He should be better than this, he has tools

Right now unless RJ improves drastically I see his good case scenario as a solid 6th man. He has barely improved at all after all these years....

idk hart seems to move around and handle the ball much better than rj. rj has a big bully frame, but that's build not talent

Is it clear? Would you consider RJ to be above average compared to other NBA starters in his position for:

Finishing at the rim?
3 pt shooting?
Mid-range shooting?
Athleticism?
Ball-handling?
Vision/passing?
One-on-one shot creation?
Defense?
Rebounding?

we're talking unrealized talent, not actual production.

Fair enough. Four years in, it is definitely unrealized.

Our 6 & 7th men this year are IQ and Josh. Both are top of the league in that spot. RJ is not near either in D or O. Not in the same zip code. Not to mention hustle (dare I say Heart)? Maybe he'd be a good 6th man on Orlando. He's okay, just not what u expect in a #3 pick in his 3rd/4th year.

Thats why I said "good case scenario". He isn't even at that level yet. Agreed right now he is like our 7th or 8th best player....

Dream scenario is somehow he completely turns things around but thats doubtful. I pretty much loss most hope for him at this point and I question his so called "work ethic". I am starting to think all those videos he puts out are bogus and he doesn't try as hard as he makes people think he does.

Team needs a real talent evaluator, one for drafting the kid and two for making him one highest paid Knicks of all time.

He plays like he wears Timbs on the court.

until Friday, RJ should be locked inside the MSG practice facility on a strict juice diet. No Doordash, no nothing.

Yeah, that play REALLY stood out. Felt like he'd backtrack over halfcourt back to the Knick's basket and into the locker room if he could have! :banghead: Along with Garland's paralyzing IQ play. the worst kind of highlight reel.
