But Fred VanVleet and his 38% fg is untouchable for Toronto, def not an albatross contract.

Also jarmi Grant is basically an all-star with 48% eFG

the only way to get one of the best PG available on this team while not messing up the 2022 cap space. Chris Paul wouldnt do it since he just declined a 1yr 47 mil player option. though maybe Lowry would. Its not a long term solution but we kick that decision down the road a year. In the meantime Lowry can help develop all the young players on this team.

Not saying i def do this but i would think about it. Probably would see if i could get him cheaper at 1 yr 35 mil or so first.

Yeah he's not oozing talent obviously but have to disagree with Chanel here, rarely. He held down the Luka role when Luka sat and didn't do too badly either.

Personally, I am fine with Fournier. I would like to see JJ in a Knicks uni (maybe not as a starter, but certainly in a rotation).

This being the plan all along is what concerns me because they tried to get Hayward...so maybe this was the plan. Not sure many people are lining up to play with Fournier.

I also don't know a ton of teams that will be interested in trading for Fournier with his new contract at nearly 20 MM per season.

ORL could barely get a 2nd rounder for him so he obviously isn't someone people don't think they can replicate his production with cheaper talent.
