While I understand the sentiment, if we do draft someone, who will they play over in the rotation? We all know that unless that rookie is really good off the bat, he will be sitting on the bench collecting DNPs from Thibs.
And the question would be if we still want to make a trade for a player in this draft, what assets are you willing to give up in return? Teams are not going to just give picks away to us.
