People in here fighting for their favorite players and this is them applying the war paint...

The Raps board has a separate thread for tracking former players. Thoughts?

My focus at 23 and the stuff I was doing lol ... yeah he gets a little grace from me although there were a lot of times he made me want to snatch my tv off the wall.

And IQ 10 assist was surprising. If he wants to make point guard money instead of being played and paid as a sixth man, this is what is needed.

This is why I shake my head when folks "beat their chest" saying "RJ ain't good, we were right!!!!"...."Those who supported RJ need to admit they were wrong about RJ ever being good!!!"....."RJ supporters ran victory laps now dey need to pay!!!!!"

Fact is, anyone who supported RJ as a Knick and didn't become a serial basher cannot be proven "wrong" about his career until his career has been written in stone and the book closed. That was the entire approach of anyone who supported him while he was a Knick: wait and let him develop...There's still many years left and he has the work ethic and desire...

He projects to be in the league at LEAST 9 more years and likely a starter. I'll never understand calling a 23 year old a "finished product" when so many players in history have improved AFTER the ripe old age of 23......If a player comes into the league at 16 years old, they should retire at 20 if they haven't fully developed by then? :noway: The path to development isn't linear.

Please do so because some of the board members were hyping up about Obi and then Reddish now RJ/IQ. May as well combine them all into 1.

Draymond is crazy, but the part of me that really wants to lean into trying to 2004 pistons our way to a title, kinda wants to trade Mitch for Draymond and pay Chicago's absurd price for Caruso just to see what teams tried to do in the playoffs if we threw an Anunoby-Caruso-Draymond lineup at them.

That's the kind of group that could keep teams to single digits in a quarter

Draymond isn’t some old school player. He’s a coward and a little bitch who always plays the victim.

He would never dare do **** like this to X Man, Oakley, Artest, Vernon Maxwell, etc. he only pulls this **** now against weak players in a soft era that will break anything up instantly.

Despite that, he's still a special defender and would give us some great playmaking from the center spot.

Chanel going through another personal crisis about the Knicks, or he’s crunching the numbers to find some holes in last night’s game.

I will say that I don’t know if I ever seen a guy who can reach these heights and also show major warning signs in the same small sample — like getting blocked so much.

My two hypotheses, unprovable however, are that he works extremely hard and that he’s got some decent skills for a guy that big. Or at least they’re hidden behind his lack of a quick first step or fluidity in some situations. Even then, RJ can surprise you with a good reverse in traffic or a great pass or like that MLK Day dunk against his future team (he was also fouled and we should have won except for the crooked NBA).

I stand by a later LJ kind of career as his less than maybe best case but also pretty good case.

These hot games by RJ are either the engine rolling before it ignites or the battery will die. Nobody truly knows but I do take it fwiw that it’s hard to reverse bad advanced numbers.

Aren’t there a bunch of sub-superstar players who’ve been main cogs with average efficiency? Wasn’t that Melo? RJ is drawing fouls. There are shades of Paul Pierce but seems doubtful he’s that good.
