The Cavs had a core in place already and they were able to get the deal done preserving that core. The Knicks would have depleted everything they had without really having a core in place, just a couple pieces with no idea how they would fit together.

Can anyone honestly suggest that Brunson, Mitchell and R***** would have done anything except treadmill? Thibs would have them be a great regular season team, that much we could say but more than that? Not sure considering being tapped out in assets and looming CBA restrictions.

I thought we all understood this? Is this the old crap fight thread?

I prefer our current core as it has (in theory at least) a better balance, so I'm not lamenting that the trade collapsed. But I think we would have have had some exciting seasons with Mitchell similar (or close) to the relative success we've had in recent years.

Yep, the Donovan Mitchell trade would’ve been a good move either way. The guy is a winner and shows up in the playoffs. It is what it is though, not going to revisit those debates again

That's a 14m salary slot. Who gets shipped out?

I'm not against it at all. I just don't see how it can be done.

If we’re trading Mitch, then Mitch and Dadiet for Clarkson and Kessler. Probably have to sweeten the deal with picks but those would be the salary swaps in the deal.

I respect it.

Tbh, I don't blame anyone here for hating on bron. The decision was fcked. Killed our hope then he proceeded to beat on us in the playoffs. Coupled with the fact he is a great its easy to root against him. I just don't.

I enjoy hoops and he plays the game in a way that i find really entertaining. It's cool as hell that his signature defining play is a chase down block in the finals on the winningest team of all time. I respect that he went home to bring a championship and and he contributes to help the community he grew up in. Its cool as hell that he married his hs gf, has stayed with her, and has such a tight relationship with his kids. Sure he has said some questionable sht throughout his career but in all I respect his game and him as a man. He has been great for the game. And I didn't want to spend his whole career hating on him.

Yea outside of basketball he a good dood, on the court I’m tired of him

This great work but a lil misleading. Ayton isn't even an inefficient volume scorer.

It's not even the Cavs defense. These Warriors players are missing wide open 3s and blowing layups.

I haven't seen the Cavs this year. One game outside of the game we should have won. I was wondering what was going on in this game. We won't see them until March.

Curry's hit that point where occasionally he still has the magic but most games he doesn't.

What teams are you watching that are fun? Honestly, Cavs look like a lot of fun.

Spurs were a good watch when Sochan was out, since he's come back they are eh. I'll check out Kings games too, mainly because it's fun to watch a team choke pretty much every night.
