To me there's no such thing as a super team. This is real life not arcade. They are basketball players on basketball teams.

He did.

Can you imagine guarding him in his prime. "Oh, and by the way - he's faster than you too. Good luck."

Look at how effortlessly he moves the guy while posting him up. Like he's not even there.

This isn't about respect, though cry baby Lebron has demonstrated none to his coaches (replacing them when he doesn't like them) and GMs (when they don't build a super team) and quick on the excuses when players don't play HIS way. And when all else fails, bolt to another team.

This is about boundaries.

He's an employee not player-coach-GM or team president or part owner.

And that's why Michael Jordan doesn't really acknowledge Lebron.

Jordan didn't bolt for New York when a more lucrative deal was on the table and all the promises. He returned to a team with (Yes, Scottie) John Paxson, BJ Armstrong, and Flava Flav (Horace Grant). NOT exactly D. Wade, Bosh, and Ray Allen...and WON more championships defeating Pistons, the REAL Knicks, Cavs, Magic's Lakers, Drexler's Trailblazers, Malone/Stockon's Jazz twice, and Barkley's Suns.

I can't even believe ANY "respectful" sports journalist would even DARE put Lebron's legacy *snicker* up against Michael Jordan. I mean, seriously?

The HBO's show Entourage is literally about Mark Wahlberg and his boys trying to run things. Yesterday on the 6, Michael Smith even said, Lebron had his HAIR DRESSER move to Cleveland. *record scratch* He ain't got THAT much hair.

And that's what he's about, a guy who created a free agency elite circle that holds franchises ransom, "Don't do what I want? I'll join THAT person's team." That's the mess of the present day.

Draymond called him out, he was right. Lebron got bent about it...Yeah, cleopatra ain't the only queen of de-Nile.

But by all means, you can protect this whiny generation of players who want EVERYTHING to their convenience while collecting half a billion in endorsements plus salary. Today's NBA is a non-competitive joke right now with super stars in their prime piggy backing for championships when things don't go their way.

 True enough. There was something about seeing him in an open gym that drove the point home more than usual. His footwork and handle are still just exquisite for a guy that size. That while going out of his way to try NOT to be physical.

What did guys even do against that???

You sound insane trying to dictate what players should do with their careers.

Let someone that you don't know try and tell you what to do with your career.

People demand things from their employers everyday. If the employee is worth what they are demanding, the employer will comply. If not, people go on strikes and refuse to work or go to another company that gives them exactly what they want.

It's life. Get over it. Stop trying to hold them to different standards because they dribble, run or hit a ball as a 9-5. I tell people all of the time that if they are not satisfied with their current job, they should go find a new one.

LeBron found a new one.
KD found a new one.

You don't have to like that they do the things they do, but to flat out say they shouldn't do these things because they are employees is flat out crazy. You bringing up what they make in endorsements and salary only reinforces my thoughts that most "fans" hold resentment for these players due to what their bank account(s) says. Those are the crabs in the bucket type of people.

I wonder what type of package the Pacers can get for George since he'll likely be a rental for any team besides the Lakers.

Or this just kills any chance of the Clippers trading for Melo.

If your Doc, I'm sending a boatload to IND.

CP3
Reddick
PG
Blake
Jordan

That's a solid squad

I understand that, but how can they afford that roster with the NBA's salary cap. :)

gotta wonder if the pacers look to move him for that second pick. on the one hand, the lakers don't have to since he's already going, on the other hand, they don't have a pick next year so, it's in their best interest to win as many games as possible.

Lakers would be crazy to give up the 2nd pick when he/his reps have made it clear he prefers the Lakers. PG trade value will go down with each passing day. Indy has to move him for the best deal they can find ASAP, and the team trading for him will have a season to convince him to re-sign rather than bolt for LA.

if he refuses to guarantee to re-sign with any team, nobody will trade for him. the lakers must be really mad that they have those moz and deng contracts on the roster now. wonder if they try to use some young players to get rid of one of them.

One bad deal is manageable, you cannot have two. I think a stretch provision is in order for the lakers.
