Nas @ 25 vs. 11
THT @ 46 vs. 44

Tough night. Wingspan FTL. That said, I LOVE Portland as a fit for Nas. Great, winning environment. They'll hold him to a high standard and will NEED his contributions immediately with Aminu as a free agent so he should get some run. If he can't make it here, he ain't gonna make it.

I Would have taken Bol in the top 20 no doubt. These NBA teams trippin. Bol Bol was a top 3-5 talent before he went down.

You draft Bol and red shirt him. Give him a full year to get stronger. In the Gym every day working 9-5 minimum whether it’s lifting/shooting or watching film. Hire a nutritionalist/cook to keep him eating and to put on weight/muscle.

Let him enter 2020 a stronger , better version of himself and bring him along slow. No back to backs. Limited to 25 mpg tops. Bring him on slowly and let him develop into his body and get used to the NBA.

2021 and 2022 you unleash the beast that is Bol Bol.

And the Nuggets probably will do just that.

There are a number of concerns but the weight thing is the scariest part to me. How did he drop 60 lbs???

I think you lucked out. Blazers been dying for a real wing & you get to watch him daily now in Portland.

THT a steel in both drafts imo

Always a chance he doesn't work out but like the upside and he has as good of a chance to make it as anyone in that range.

https://thespun.com/more/top-stories/why-bol-bol-is-reportedly-slipping-in-the-nba-draft-tonight

Earlier this week, a report suggested Bol weighed in at just 208 pounds at the NBA combine. For someone who stands over 7-feet tall, weighing in at just over 200 pounds isn’t great.

Not the original source but that's the rumor and he looks SO slim in that workout.

I thought he was always in the 200-210 zone though

His dad was 180, so I don't think his genes are gonna let him be much bigger

without a doubt...the kid did this post draft interview - its on nba.com...it's almost like he was thinking "I understand why teams would have concerns but I think theyre being a bit dramatic" It was like he had this quiet confidence about his situation, ability and career once he proves everyone wrong...
If I had GM's in front of me in baf- that i knew and only had one pick in the 1st- I would have still drafted him with my 2nd pick which was 7th-because at that point I had 18 and I dont think he would have lasted till 18 in BAF....

The extension rule passed 17-3 with 10 teams not voting. I told K-DOT that we would vote on his extension rule amendment during the summer but I'd be ok with pushing that vote up. Chances of getting it written up with discussion and then a vote before free agency is not very good though IMO. I did like his idea, so if he wants to write up his exact proposal and PM me, I will put it out there to get the ball rolling.

Spoiler:
bishnykfan wrote:ANNOUNCEMENT

FREE AGENCY

Free Agency will begin on Wednesday June 26 at 12PM. No offers for free agents will be accepted before that time. The league will also reopen for business at that time and any transactions that have been made since the conclusion of the draft will be processed then.

Free agency will work almost the same way it did last year, with one minor change. Once again, the 30 franchises have been rated on four categories (Winning franchise, Star player, Player happiness, Future).

Winning Franchise- The record of each team including playoff performances over a three year span (two in our case because we've only played two seasons).

Star Player- The top rated player on each team.

Player happiness- How happy is your star player. Is your franchise a winning franchise? Have you made moves to make it a winning franchise? Etc... this is the one category that has some subjectiveness to it.

Future- The average age of your six highest paid players combined with the draft capital that your team owns over the next three years.

The teams have been broken down into tiers using these four categories. The higher the tier that your team is in, the less you will need to spend to sign a free agent. Just like real life, the draft is for the teams at the bottom of the league and free agency is for the teams at the higher end. This doesn't mean that free agents will not sign with teams that missed the playoffs last year. It simply means that those teams will have to outspend a team above it on the list if they are competing for the same player. The wider the difference between tiers, the more the lower team will have to spend.

The one change for free agency this year is that teams will be able to bid on more than one player at a time, as long as the team does not offer more than their total amount of cap space or the total amount of roster spaces they have available, for the players that they bid on. Last year, teams could only put offers in for one player at a time. People didn't like this so we will try allowing this change this year. However, you will be responsible for making sure that your bids are legal. If I receive offers that will put your team over the cap, I will disregard the entire offer. Also, if you lead a bid on one player but lose a bid on another, you can not retract a leading bid to offer more for the player you are losing so be careful submitting multiple bids.

Example:

Team 1 has $68 in cap space and 5 open roster spaces

Free Agent offer sheet

Player A- $20/4 years
Player B- $28/4 years
Player C- $10/4 years
Player D- $8/2 years
Player E- $2/1 year

This would be a legal bid because the total amount of money they would spend is equal to the total amount of cap space they have available. They also don't offer more contracts then roster spaces available in this offer.

If they lead the bidding on players A, C, D and E but are not leading for player B, they can not up their offer to player B until another team beats them out for one of the other players they have leading bids on. I'm sure that may sound confusing so if their are any questions, let me know.

Bids are once again sent via PM and will be anonymous until the player signs. All players that have offers will be posted in the free agent page of our mega thread. I will act as the players agent and let teams know if they have the leading bid or what it will take to beat the leading bid.

From June 26-July 2 (No players will sign for 6 hours after I post the offer to the free agent page. Teams will have six hours from that point to inquire and beat the leading bid).

July 3-July 10 (No players will sign for 4 hours after I post the offer to the free agent page. Teams will have four hours from that point to inquire and beat the leading bid).

July 11-July 18 (No players will sign for 2 hours after I post the offer to the free agent page. Teams will have two hours from that point to inquire and beat the leading bid).

July 19-July 25 (No players will sign for 1 hour after I post the offer to the free agent page. Teams will have one hour from that point to inquire and beat the leading bid).

Any remaining free agents will sign instantly with any team offering them a contract after July 25.

Any questions on FA, and how it works, let me know. The tiers will be posted tonight.

Just incredible work, Bish! Really! Awesome!!!
I love the new format. I think it will prevent some GMs from outbidding other GMs all the time (for players they don't even want), just to make them overpay to sign those players.
