Jon Isaac/Brandon Ingram type. He’s going to destroy workouts. Not sure about interviews, but if those go well, I’d consider at 6-8.
Many question marks what exactly happened at Washington. I know the team overall was a mess.

I’d be happy with a core of RJ, Cole, and Mitch. Frank n Dotson I would keep if we could do so on the cheap... Knox n DSJr can go. Trier... a ball hog but would be a solid 6th man depending on cost too. Nesmith with the LAC pick n we’re good.
Admittedly, I haven't studied him but from what I've seen he's really not a great decision maker with the ball. Nor is he a very good shooter. I'd rather draft a good shooting wing who can play defense.
I think he can shoot, but his shot selection is bad. That ties into his decision making too... the guy attacks the paint and throws up bullshyt shots pretty often. I do think a good coaching team could get him to improve that because he seems to have the drive/passion for the game to want to get better (he looked a bit better when he came back from injury). He gives good effort on the other end of the court too... I’d rather draft someone like Edwards myself, but I don’t think we’re getting that chance.

It’ll take 2-3 years to find that out as most college PGs take that long to get used to the speed and physicality of the NBA game. We have Frank who appears to be turning that corner. Why not show some confidence in his development? We also have DSJ is seems to have a lot in common with Cole.
C’mon man, let’s get a shootah! That’s what we need more than anything. Just think how a shoot would compliment RJ’s game too.

The Draft?
Hello,
I was just lurking around here because I have been looking up draft prospects and wanted your guys opinions. Since this darned team can't even tank right we're currently pegged to draft 6th.
I am of the opinion that we need to draft a point guard. He doesn't necessarily need to be a day 1 starter (we can trade for a guy like Mike Conley Jr to mentor him) but I think its high time we drafted a real point guard. There are a number of players available but the more I read up on him the more I like Tyrese Halliburton. He's not as flashy and maybe doesn't have the offensive upside other point guard options have but he seems to high a higher floor. He seems to have the BB IQ and the passing skills to be a good floor general plus he has the size, athleticism and length to become more than just a good floor general. To top it off he might fall later into the lottery so we might be able to pick up a minor asset to move down.
Would you guys prefer more of a swing for the fences kind of prospect? Do you think we should just take the BPA regardless of position? What if James Wiseman falls to us. Do you pick him despite having Mitchell Robinson already?

Why rely on nuance, facts and logic when you can bludgeon the other side with mindless repetition of "Duuur McDaniel's has potential
and still be treated as if you were reasonable.

Haliburton isn't that great. I get that he's tall but he isn't the second coming of Shawn Livingston.

We have re-signed a first round pick in over like 20 years, that’s kind of all you need to know

Cole anthony is probably the best pure pg prospect. However this is a solid but not great draft. I say just take the best player available.

Hayes and Lamelo are in higher tier IMO

Re: The Draft?
This draft is so hard to predict for one we don't get to see the players play in the tournaments and two some of the top players have had injuries this year or are out for majority of the season:
Wiseman
Ball
Haliburton
Anthony
Hampton
So Assuming that we stay at 6th: I love Haliburton's game, but I feel that he can be had in the 10-14 range. Killian is the same type of player, younger, has a better shot form and he's a better shooter. He may not be as fast and to me Tyrese's passes are more on point, Tyrese is the "safe pick" while Killian could possibly become a star. I don't see star potential with Tyrese, but more of like a Conley type of player. Kind of reminds me of the Knox vs Mikal Bridges (My choice) argument. We knew what we were getting with Mikal, but Knox could be so much better, BUT it's on Knox to put in that work. Killian has to put in that work.

Below is quoted from reddit and I agree for the most part:
Haliburton is the best passer of the three and Cole Anthony has a good argument for best scorer (taking EYBL/AAU and his teammates into account), but Hayes is the best at scoring and passing as a combined category.
Haliburton has defensive versatility and the ability to play off the ball, Anthony has shot versatility, and Killian can get into the paint at will.
I would pick a guy like Haliburton to put next to a smaller scoring guard.
I would pick Cole Anthony to put next to a large ball handling wing.
I would pick Hayes if I needed guard talent above all fit considerations.

To me, developing means making them better via the organization. Oftentimes resigning has as much to with free agency as anything else. But development consists of off season work, in game situations, film studying, skill work and development.
We can't force a person to resign... that's not development imo

Re: The Draft?
Who needs a top draft pick when we can just keep signing the Burkes, Mudiays, Paytons, and Portises of the league?
Come on guys, duh!

That's my thinking as well. We went all in on potential with Knox but what's the point of that if you're not going to give him much room to make mistakes.

I like Haliburton and would maybe consider him in the 7/8 range if we move back depending on who is available. Ideally, would hope Killian Hayes is there and would rather have him.

So Cavs interested in Avdija and Okongwu?
Wonder if Koby is the one having this idea floated out to gauge reaction from their fans.
