We need to take on guys like Hayward and Conley with picks. Contracts who expire, guys who can play still, and will not ruin the development of our young guys.

What??? A team with 4 awfull shooters and FVV as first option is not treadmill.

We will be a bottom 3 team for sure!!

We will be making a push for #8 seed bro AT ALL COSTS gotta get those cartoon fans the taste of playoffs

In this scenario, if FVV needs a day off no worries our next best shooter is Tom Thibs.

My biggest fear if this comes to pass is the Knicks will be unprepared for the avalanche of calls from free agents wanting to play for this quality organization.

Conley and 23 for Randle, DSJ
Hayward and 30 for cap
Bring back Taj cheaper, decline options on the other guys

8 - Haliburton or Lewis or Hayes
23 - Desmond Bane
27 - Robert Woodard II
30 - Jaden McDaniels
38 - Vernon Carey

G — Conley, Hali/Kira/Hayes, Harper
G — Frank, Bane
F — Barrett, Woodard, Iggy
F — Hayward, McDaniels, Knox
C — Mitch, Taj, Carey, Wooten

Yeah, that and possibly a player as well. It was part of a package. Regardless I don’t trust Ainge.

Would you do

Hayward 14,26, other pick for 8 and Randle? Knicks keep their late first and second.

Don’t forget that Conley deal. We have Jazz connections and we will have first dibs I would think.

We're not drafting him either. He doesn't play above the rim. Too short and tiny.

Does Haliburton play above the rim?

He’s 6’5” with a 7’ wingspan.

and 175lbs soaking wet! Less than the "tiny" Kira Lewis and certainly too light to guard anyone in the NBA :)

Apparently he’s gained 20lb of muscle since the season

That would make more sense. That's a fair offer but still one I would only accept on a contingency/game time basis. Say, Hayes and Okoro are gone and I'm interested in Kira/Terry.

Probably not. No reason to move down from 8.

If we get rid of Randle and do not take on a long term deal FVV is basically replacing Randle on the books which is a huge W. Do we splurge on another free agent is the ? And for how much? Need lots of shooting.

I like FVV but don't want to pay him that much money, especially when we're not sure who our primaries are yet. That puts him in a position to fail as a first option similar to Randle last year and we lose value in his contract and draft position next year.

Just watched the game on YouTube of Kira vs Haliburton and wow I gotta say it made me like Kira less and Haliburton a whole lot more. I want to couch this by saying I hope the Knicks draft either, but it wasn’t close. Halibrton’s decision making, shot selection, defense and no look passes were on full display. Kira, on the other hand, displayed quickness and little else. He seemed to run into traffic, get trapped, and have little recourse but to throw it to someone else. I know it’s only one game but the difference between these players was night and day when playing head to head.

no one in hell im taking a brick maker in Okoro over a point guard or a shooter. You guys are crazy as hell. If you think you can compete with 3 non shooters on the floor for maximum minutes(mitch/RJ/okoro) we will get crushed on the scoreboard nightly.. we just had a whole season of no spacing... dont do it. to yourselves..

Gordon Hayward is probably one of the most overpaid overrated guys in the NBA. What has he really accomplished? Post injury, his defense is even worse than before and his offense comes and goes. Don't see the appeal. Plus he's injury prone. Yikes!

(Knicks front office laughs condescendingly at this post, knowing they have monster shooter Julius Randle)
