Disney has to trim the fat since they're paying Stephen A and Pat McAfee millions to pollute their airwaves with crap

I'm not kidding.

I don't think it's about trimming fat. Bill Simmons made an interesting point on his Pod and I did a little searching on my end and it did make sense. I've been on the outs with ESPN since the Rachel thing because that leak was 100% a contract move while she was negotiation with them. I think Pat is 100% worse than SAS and was so annoyed about the hoopla he was getting when he signed.

What did Simmons say?

Pat actually is worse than Stephen A. I didn't mind him initially, but once he pulled that stunt I had to cut bait. I can't support that.

I just didn't like how SAS treated Monica. Dudes don't even watch WNBA ball and tried to tell her what's what, they both looked foolish and she hasn't been on ever since. That tells me all I need to know.

Here's the reaction to Lowe's layoff.

Nutshell, ESPN wants bite size content.

I don't remember the Monica thing, but I also don't watch SAS' First Take often.

Journalism is dead.

And it's not worth wasting your time. Stephen A is a prick.

Edit - I was clowned. I fell for a tweet from a fake NBA site (NBA Centel) on X. 3tohead pointed it out. Editing out the link to the original tweet.

Doris Burke leaving ESPN.

Guys SUCK.

And I say that as a guy. The levels of misogyny directed towards Burke on twitter is just amazing. The woman has done nothing but conducted herself as a true professional for decades. Yet if you read Elon's Nazi Bar the Incelwaffen are just ragging on the woman about everything from her hair, voice, knowledge.

Burke has forgotten more basketball than many of her critics have ever learned. If they were in a room with Burke talking hoops she would embarrass them into silence within 2minutes. But on social media little anonymous men like to sound big by projecting their own insecurities onto to others in order to makeup for their own inadequacies.

Yeah man. She is great. It was a pleasure to listen to her. Especially when you compare her to other commentators.

I think she might have been a tad spicy about the knicks. But that sht never bothers me unless it's other fans.

Wish her nothing but success in what she does.

Yup. I fell for it hook, line and sinker. I should have looked more closely at the spelling of the source of the original tweet. And no I don't scroll tweet comments often b/c 99.9% of the time the comment section is pure dreck.

I feel like an idiot. Editing out my earlier post.

I get why knicks fans don't like her or Barkley. But I don't mind some spice from commentators that are NOT Reggie Miller or dick Jefferson. But the truth of the matter is she is one of the best in the biz

I think she’s kinda clueless and dislike her voice and schtick. You’re right on the spice thing though. I think that’s interesting and also mostly justified. This was never a world-beating team.

Yeah. People are stupid. They enjoy watching Real housewives and go to Trump rallies. Networks cater to the lowest hanging fruit. Easy money with minimal effort. Richard Jefferson and Charles Barkley can both eat sh*t. This Lakers season is guaranteed to be interesting

Loosing DiVincenzo hurts bad I can't get over it smh. The trade should have been Randle, Robinson, McBride two 1st rd picks for KAT.

PG-Brunson/Payne/Arcaidiacon/Kolek
SG-DiVincenzo/Shamet/McCullar
SF-Bridges/Hart/Okeke/Dadiet
PF-Anunoby/Archiuwa/Morris
C-Towns/Sims/Hukporti

With Hart as our 6th man... Smh.

... did she really follow JJ to the Lakers? Like, I mean, she was obviously crushing on JJ whenever they were calling games together, or was that all in my head?

Return to New York Knicks
