Discussing any prospect in terms of lotto positioning before the NCAA season starts is kind of a waste of time

I'm a realist dude. We either picking first (.05% chance) or bottom lottery. There will be no in between. Melo is gonna be a knick. We need to temper expectations. frank is following bonga because he's a realist too :D

Y'all kill me with this "we got Melo so a bottom lottery pick is imminent" line of thinking. Dog, we been landing in the top 8 WITH MELO the last two years. Lol. Melo and his ball stopping and clutch bricks that are long contested 2's in close games actually helps the tank. Bridges is absolutely realistic and still in play. Doncic may be too. Doncic can easily slide to #4. MPJ, Bagley and Ayton can all end up going before him.

so we gonna assume that KP and Willy just don't improve and the loss of Rose isn't addition by subtraction?

Or that the East didn't get worse this offseason. Ya'll setting yourselves up for disappointment is all I'm saying.

If we improve by leaps and bounds then hey, I'll take it. If nabbing a lesser pick means KP, Willy, Timmy, and Frank ball out and gel then that is just as impactful as landing a high pick. Cuz if they all show capable and we get a late lotto pick we are still in good shape. Certain free agents might take note in that case and feel like we are ready to make the leap and have a bright future. Never know who may join the squad at that point and put us over the top.

Tron Carter wrote:ya'll can't have it both ways. if kp is gonna take the next step, willy gonna build off last season, and the loss of rose will facilitate a better offense then the knicks will not be a bottom 5 team. hate on melo all you want but he is still good for a few wins this season. add on the fact that eastern teams like atlanta, chicago, and the pacers have all gotten worse and ya'll are looking at a mediocre knicks team that is good enough to just miss the playoffs but not good enough to notch you a top 5 pick.

embrace bonga. dudes like dončić and bagley are pipe dreams.

Bridges isn't a pipedream tho. Neither is Knox.

The one thing I Kept saying to the naysayers in the draft thread that once Frank Gets American Training its a Wrap. Euro Training is not even close to this. Its the same Reason Giannis came over like a Twig and now look at him.

There is no Chris Brickley for the teenage euro player. Or Weight Programs either.

American training and Euro pharmaceuticals. That's the formula.

Judging from this pic, Frank is either 6'6" or 6'7" in sneakers confirmed.

Nigel Hayes is (far left) is 6'8" and completely towers over Frank.

Damyean Dotson is listed at 6'5" (but has also been listed at 6'6") is equal height to Frank. But then again, Frank is standing slightly a step behind Dotson. Which could mean Frank is a shade taller but the depth makes him appear the same height.

Jamel Artis (to the right of Dotson) is listed at 6'7" and is a tad bit taller than Frank/Dotson but mostly by hair.

Frank is either 6'6" or 6'7" in sneakers.

Dotson is 6'6" in sneakers.

Prepare for the imminent season as a fan, which for us means reading a very good self-help psychology book.

I started reading it and got about halfway through when Dolan fired Phil. Now it's collecting dust on my night table and I'm getting notices from the library. Fck me.
