It's the same everywhere. Players arguing calls has gotten way out of hand. Some are warranted though. We have seen plenty of one way whistles and it needs to be cleaned up.

Sure but focus on Towns: he isn’t fouled as often as people claim. He’s playing great, aggressive basketball regardless, but despite all the complaints, he is rarely fouled.

Yeah when he drives he often is getting bumped the whole way to the basket, then a hit on the arm as he shoots. No call then at the other end he gives a soft push, or a body bump while maintaining verticality, and still gets called. That's why he gets mad, the disparity at either end.

I mean it's hilarious when he goes "OH MY GOOODDD!!!" but dude isn't complaining because he's some kinda foul merchant. More times than not when he's attacking the rim he's scoring through contact. It's ridiculous

Called all day for ticky tack BS on the other end too. Jalen gets the same if not worse. Only the Knicks don't get star treatment from the refs. It's real.

I blame Dolan for kat not getting calls. Personal relationships matter. And the nba hates dolan

towns is a center with guard type offense -- him going downstream, and all the hands touching him can get the opposing team in team penalty situation in just one possession. That may be why refs are reluctant to give him star whistle; and the dolan bit as well

You can't blame the players here guys.. while there are foul merchants for sure and we should be hating them with the bottom of our hearts, in 2025 there are no ethical hoopers left at all! These players that get no calls (Jokic, Steph, Kyrie, KAT, Brown) - all superstats, all emphasize the contacts, all argue with the refs, flop most of the time... they are just not getting them. The double standards are insane.

I agree and disagree. I think he receives a lot of body contact that might be excessive, but Towns at his size and speed is hard to stop without making contact with him so it’s understandable. I will agree that he isn’t fouled on the actual attempt most of the time and so the refs allow the body contact as long as his arms aren’t being hit they won’t call it.

I've seen KAT knocked to the floor on drives and no call. Let that happen to Embiid, who embellishes everything, and it's a quick whistle.
