Really want to see more of rj Hampton. He’s such a blur in the open court. Serious speed with him
More video of Killian that I see. Looks like a Dlo russell clone.

I like the guys outside of the top 4 more than past years. Haliburton, McDaniels, Hayes all feel really fun to me.

The more I look at prospects in the middle of lotto the more I’d love a trade down if we get a top 3 pick to snag a second lotto pick if possible
Still a lot of time left but pairing a combo of Hayes and McDaniels or Obi.
Take multiple stabs at some success

I’ll take Halliburton and Obi over anyone outside of Edwards

There's a lot of guys that are projected to go anywhere from the mid lottery to the middle of the draft that i'd love to get two of and a Haliburton/Toppin duo is right at the top of my list. I think Toppin ends up going higher then most think. The kid has really come on the last month or so with some great performances so we'll see. A name i'm seeing rising up boards is this kid from Isreal (SF Deni Avdija.) I don't know anything about him but one site called him "Doncic lite" so that will always get my attention. Says he's can light it up from downtown and has eyes in the back of his head. Big and physically gifted.
The more and more the season goes on has me liking the idea of having two picks in the 7-20 range over one pick in the top 5. There's some really good and interesting players after those top 5-6 big names we've been hearing about all year. I'm also still on the Nico Mannion bandwagon to.

I understand he's only 5'11" But Markus Howard is averaging according to takathon 31 pts per game. Shouldn't he be going a little higher in drafts. and can it translate in the NBA?

Watching Haliburton shoot and the first thing that comes to my mind is like
"wow he's got a lot of air under that ball"
"haha this guy is like the anti cam reddish of shooting"
"yeah, this guy just doesnt look like hes good at shooting, he actually is"
he will have an impact right away in the NBA imo.
One thing that does worry me is that he looks like a tweener and IDK if he's got enough speed or strength down the lane to be a full time PG running pnrs.
hes really lengthy and I think he's a SG in the NBA unless there's some kind of untapped strength and athleticism im not seeing on these game tapes. If hes a SG in the NBA his shooting % will definitely take a bigger hit because the guys guarding him will be a lot bigger and he'll take tougher shots.
super interesting prospect regardless and I would be happy taking him outside of #1.
I'm really starting to sour on Edwards--- the guy needs the ball to be productive. His efficiency does worry me like crazy and the odds of him having an dion waiters or lance Stephenson type of career is really really high imo. if he can uptick that efficiency he will trend towards oladipo.

Re: 2019-2020 College/Draft thread (Part 1)
here's a great article on Halliburton which really crystallizes some of my pluses and fears https://www.theringer.com/2019/11/27/20984769/tyrese-haliburton-iowa-state-nba-draft-prospect
hes absolutely a vexing prospect because he shows u so much more than just 3 + defense but you really wonder if hes got the ability to do it as a starting PG in the NBA.
I'm really starting to warm up to him as the #1 player on my board though. His efficiency and his ability to shoot and get his shot off is just not something you see. Watch Edwards' tape--
he takes a lot of tough 1on1 threes and shots with the defender glued to him
Halliburton just has more length and seems like his 1on1 iso shots aren't nearly as tough. I think part of this is because hes a PG and has a smaller defender on him. it's a big advantage that if you project him to be a PG in the NBA hes your #1 player on the board.

I don't want to pick on you
but I want to say:
if the prospect you're ranking doesnt shoot threes or project to shoot threes & doesnt project to be a Jokic/Kat or Gobert type of player,
don't even dare rank him in the top 5. In my book, those prospects shouldn't even be in the top 10.
Basically if you’re drafting a big man top 10 he has to be a defensive force, already shoot threes, or show the ability to add 5asts a game.
watch in a few years. 7 footer big guys that are busting today like mo bamba and ayton, and okafor are going to pave the way for bigmen that don't project to shoot threes to not ever be taken in the top 10 ever again.
AND BAMBA SHOOTS THREES!!!

How is Ayton busting? He’s been one of the best defensive big men this season and is putting up solid numbers. Lol

It’s like when lil bitches make subliminal records, if it ain’t directed directly at me, I don’t respect it

These are tankathon’s projections, not mine, they’re usually on top of the trends
I don’t disagree with your analysis on bigs

https://sports.yahoo.com/why-the-2022-nba-draft-will-be-generationally-loaded-022747270.html
“I think it’s going to be a monumental draft class, potentially a generational class,” Rivals.com recruiting analyst Corey Evans said. “The infiltration of the one-and-done class from 2021 and the potential of the straight-to-the-pros group makes it a tsunami of talent, like two draft classes in one.”
NBA franchises are already positioning themselves for the chance to cash in on all the talent. The sweetener for the 2022 draft is the allure of expected No. 1 overall pick Emoni Bates. He’s a rising sophomore in Michigan who is already considered the country’s best NBA prospect, regardless of age. Expect Bates to become the face of the newest prep-to-pro age, just like Kevin Garnett was a generation ago. “From a talent perspective,” Evans said, “Emoni is one of the best freshmen the industry has seen in the last decade.”

The Knicks have two picks in this draft right? Their own and that probable mid 20's pics from Dallas right? Watch them miss on both.

I'd rather watch them hit big on both but thank you anyway....GEESH.

Hailburton is shooting over 40% from 3 back to back seasons. I don’t think that Jumper is a fluke even though it doesn’t look pretty.
