A potential frank& okoro backcourt would be the greatest defensive backcourt in nba history. Then you add Mitch as the back line defense with thibs as hc my god....

Okoro def seems like a Thibs kinda guy. Sometimes that can be dangerous when the coach is deciding the pick too.

I just seen some clips of Haliburton hitting more jumpers off the dribble and it didn’t really look awkward

Also find it worth noting that we still have the offer on the table to Minny #8 & 27 for #1... not saying they'll take it but still... Apparently the Knicks aren't budging

I liked the Rondo rumor, if he is amenable. His current talent level isn't enough to push us from the rebuilding path but if he is willing to take on a mentorship role it could be a great asset to the rebuild. He's already played a major role in two championships. This could be a path towards life after playing aka coaching.

Even though I'm a huge Hayes fan, I could get on board with an Okoro pick even if we have to move up to do it. Honestly, if there's a guy we feel is at that level at Pick 5 we have the assets to not let him get away. Just get him.

just no future picks.

I'd move the Clippers pick this year in a New York minute to get our target.

Jeff Van Gully wrote:shoot. RJ too. that's a nightmare defense.

if you went youth, you'd desperately need all three (frank, okoro, RJ) to hit open jumpers. and you need a release valve stretch 4. not sure how fixable randle's long-range shooting is. but i'd also give knox a shot at that role. give them all the thibs juice.

that's if FVV doesn't want to sign on. i'd just keep the bread and let thibs beat the hell out of these kids for a year.

It would all come down to what moves the Knicks made in the offseason because Thibs would definitely have a to do a good job at staggering lineups. At the moment I'd envision RJ starting along with Smith, leaving Frank and Okoro coming off the bench. I don't know if Okoro is a day one starter for us. I could see Gibson coming back for another year just because of Thibs and him loving New York, so he could be a Kurt Thomas type for us, where he starts but Mitch gets more of the minutes.

A million different ways this offseason could play out so it's a moot point at the moment. In the time I typed this we've been rumored to move up/down/trade for xyz guys.

i see where iggy comes in. i like that comp to a degree. i think he is stylistically a mix of both guys on offense. he doesn't purport to shoot the three with the confidence (even if misguided) that iggy did early in his career. but he has that athleticism.

i think he would try to eat inside and midrange like butler does. but he's got more wiggle and bounce, a la young iggy. this kid is a hell of an athlete and strong as a damn bull. combine that with his mentality... i don't recommend passing on this guy once you get past that 5 or so pick.

yeah okoro isnt as confident shooting like iggy was in his early career okoro can be passive on the floor. but even with that confidence iggy was always below average as a shooter hovering around low 30's from the 3 and low 70s from the free throw line, he didnt really become efficient with the shot until that final season with the 76rs where he shot 39% i can see okoro having similar percentages & yeah thats why i compare him more so to iggy he has similar athleticism, bounce and acrobatics around the rim closer to a iggy than a butler.

i do have doubts okoro will ever be as smoove as butler is with the ball in his hands. Butler pretty much gets what ever he wants in that pick and roll in the midrange and he does it efficiently. idk if okoro is that guy, MAX ceiling i see iggy/jaylen brownish type of guy (if things go right for him)

Yep... awhile back he said that we had the standing offer but Minny wanted more (Mitch). Basically since Minny wanted more, Knicks have dug themselves in and are looking at other options (Cleveland & Okoro).

He alluded to; Minny overplaying their hand
