The big issue now isn't the current day GOP. Most of these guys (except Trump and a few) kinda understand that they're living a lie, even as they push that lie and get fat and rich off them.

The big issue are the people who believe those lies. Imagine a generation of children being raised on that crap. Imagine a generation that thinks Fox News and Breitbart is trustworthy and real.

Honestly the main thing preventing a civil war is geography. I believe Trump will overturn these votes at which point the Democrats and the left will still declare Biden is the president. Trump is firing some people getting the people he wants in place.

I won't completely dismiss Trump or the GOP's ability to do something to influence the vote totals of this election but I don't know if it will be enough to change the outcome and I won't completely dismiss that either because it still is 2020 and this timeline we live in is unpredictable.

People who push lies for power and profit and know they are lying are just as much of a problem as those who believe the lies because both contribute to the lies which form the policies that harms people. The end result of the lies are harm so I'm not going to give someone any credit because they don't believe the lies they are using to harm others.

In fact, some may argue the ones who know they are lying for personal benefit are even more of a problem because they have no issue with continuing to lie about the lies even if the truth is presented them to obscure it and their role in it yet the ones who genuinely believe the lies may actually change if the truth becomes known to them.

The news is so full of spurious charges of voter fraud in so many places. It seems to have taken over the media, and Republicans really speak lies without any concern that untruths will make them look, well, dishonest. I remember the good old days when they discussed more substantive issues and reallly got to the meat of things.

I miss those days when real issues were discussed, such as Hillary's emails.

MSM media really hasn't dropped the ball though. Everywhere I see the leads and headlines prefaced with words like unfounded, unsubstantiated, false, no evidence, etc.

It's more about this society losing the ability to process information and regurgitating BS online regardless of which side they're on
