Bernie’s says he going to block the defense bill and keep the Senate in session through the New Year holiday if they don’t pass the $2,000 stimulus checks. Gangsta!

It’s pretty simple. Racism and tax cuts. That’s it.

By McConnell putting section 230 and investigating voter fraud in the bill the Democrats will likely vote no. This is really a game by both sides to make the other side look like they're the ones rejecting the $2000 before Georgia runoff. Moreso it's a sign Trump and McConnell are still working together as Trump was the one that suggested putting in section 230 and voter fraud stuff in the bill, likely preparing for this exact scenario

And they don't even get the benefits of the tax cut. They got screwed here on Long Island with the mortgage tax deduction cap very bigly which was a part of the Trump/McConnell tax cuts.

Fearmongering is the accelerant but race and taxes is the fuel source. Everything about the Republican political strategy can be explained through these two paradigms.

Well here’s the thing. Due to decades of brainwashing, misinformation and demagoguing Republicans have convinced their voters that tax cuts doesn’t exclusively mean massive tax cuts for the rich. Like you pointed out the elimination of SALT deductions absolutely screwed Republicans in blue states. The Trump tax scam is actually set to increase taxes on the middle class in 2021. When these voters think of taxes they think of it in two ways: Republicans will cut my taxes so more money in my pocket (never mind they’ll increase healthcare costs and eliminate social services) and Democrats will give my tax dollars to “those” people, see you can’t get away from the race issue. But who’s going to inform Republican voters? Not Fox News or Breitbart. Not the “respectable” right wing outlets that are supposed to be against any type of tax increases. Not the social media mouth breathers like Ben Shapiro and Dan Bongino that cry about cancel culture and spread conspiracies. Republicans along with their billionaire donors, social media and right wing news have successfully inoculated the majority of their voters from reality and the truth.

Everywhere in NY. I’d be fine losing a tax cut if it meant that money was going to help ppl. Nope.
