Of course it would be Cuban who trades for that idiot  Mark my words this will not end well either. I actually expect Luka to ask out within the next year or two. Kookie Kyrie destroys everything he touches! He feeds off drama! And there WILL be drama between him and Luka. Put all your money on that! And a round of applause to Tsai for refusing to trade Kookie Kyrie to LA!

And it's only a matter of time before KD asks out. He's a follower. He cannot and will bear it at 33 years old and wait to see if Brooklyn is able to build something, which they wont be able too. So expect KD to ask out. But unless KD ends up on a team as the best player, he is going to go down as one of the biggest failures in NBA history. Those GSW rings are faded. He's going to get remembered as a follower who followed the biggest drama queen into the ground.

I know he's not the sexier name, but Dinwiddie is younger and is playing a lot better this season, and plus there's the familiarity with him as a player and a person. No thanks on Jae Crowder's corpse as well. That's why I'm personally fine with it. I just wanted Kyrie gone.

What happens next with the three 1sts that the Nets have at their disposal will determine if the Dallas trade was good or bad. If Marks can't swing a follow up deal to bring in another player that moves the needle, then it's time to start fielding offers for Durant. No sense in beating around the bush.

Honestly, I would ask KD straight up if he wants to stick around and see if the Nets can bring in another guy, or if he wants to be traded. If he does want out, I would call up the Lakers asap. They're not going to turn down KD.

Let me guess, Jay is defending Kyrie?

Pretty much J Will told him he’s getting personal about Kyrie.

I actually like the Mavericks offer also more for you guys. Dinwiddie is actually having a very good season and he just entered his prime. Dorian Finney-Smith is a very good 3-D wing player and also just entered his prime. I still think Durant will ask out in the summer. I don't see how the Nets have the assets to swing a deal for an all-star caliber player and anything less than that is not gonna do it for KD. Not sure whether the Lakers are the right trade partner---they essentially cannot offer any really interesting young players and their picks are a complete wild card. I don't see how their best offer would be even remotely appealing to the Nets.

Too bad Knicks and Nets won't trade as I think the Knicks would have both the assets as well as willingness to put together an interestin deal like Barrett + Quickley + Toppin + 4 FRPs (two unprotected) for KD. I do however think there are gonna be a couple teams that can put together enticing offers---a Sun offer around Bridges + Ayton + two unproteced FRPs for Durant/Claxton could be a nice jumpstart for a complete rebuild.

If I am the nets, I would have traded Kyrie to the Lakers for those 2 picks (with Russ expiring), trade KD for a monster package of picks and young players, even sell 1-2 vets for picks and you have war chest to rebuild.

The offer was not clearly superior. It was in the same range.

WB + 2027 LA unprotected + 2029 LA unprotected.

or

Spencer + Dorian + 2029 Unprotected + 2 SRPs

WB would have to be waived or used as filler in another trade. His value is much lower than Dorian + Spencer -They are 2 good rotation players.

And we do not know how bad Lakers will be in 2027. They can be fine. Some stars love to play in LA. It's a mysterious box pick. You can not say for sure that will be better than Dorian + Spencer.

I actually thought the Clips deal was good. I like Mann, and having control of 3 1st rounders might pay off. Course, the Nets probably missed Dimwitted after the whole Kyrie fiasco, but yea.
