Then I saw what Murray went for and I was wrong on that as well

Free agent value is all over the map in my opinion. I have Siakam who was signed for 200 before I traded for him.

John Collins at 226 and Allen at 270 is not atrocious. But you have quite a few players of equal impact at 300 or more. I am of the mindset you got to pick your poison. I think DeRozan at 345 is a borderline overpay due to his age. But his NBA production cannot be argued with.

Derozan is only signed for 3 years, it's what saves the contract. Remember his age in the sim basically runs a year behind real life. He's averaging 25/5/5 right now so he shouldn't go down much and he's a 4.5 star player.

I did overpay for Allen but $270 was worth it if it was 100% going to secure me a top 5 player in the sim (which it did). In terms of production for cost he's the best contract in the sim, even if in the real league he's nowhere near as great. Plus he'll also see only a modest decline next year (and he'll possibly improve defensively to a 100 with the Cavs #1 defense).

You still are mad for saying that, look at how much more they're losing compared to when they had KD. He's a monster though and that was always obvious. Still mad we picked Knox over him.

I like him being compared with a slightly more efficient Paul George. He is a potential all star beast and that has been obvious for a couple of years. Once the Nets get another scorer his touches will go down. But 25 and 5 is for sure doable.

Doing something weird and risky for this game against Hezi. Going to try to stick with a 9 man rotation until I get Harrell back. Hopefully the high defensive ratings of my guys can make up for the lack of rebounding. Either way this will be one of the strangest strategies I've used in my 2.5 years in this sim, it's time for some fun until the 23rd hits. Plus I'll treat this as Matt Thomas' try out. He was amazing last game with the CPU taking over the sim, maybe they know something I don't know.
