team villains relentless and high standards finally elevated his play when it mattered most. glad we didn't let him get by just because of his age and weren't satisfied with his inconsistency. that we demanded excellence like our posting skills.

He's definitely given some strong indications that he might be though.

What’s so talented about him? Seriously. What does he do well? I don’t see it.

Why didn’t you quote something I’ve posted about RJ’s much improved play the last 3 games instead of being a douche bag?

No. I was trying to enjoy the series win until you chose to act like a child.

Wonder how things would have turned out had RJ been in a Utah Jazz uniform and D.Mitchell been in a Knicks uniform.

Feel like a broken record in this thread but nobody else is saying it — RJ thrives when Randle takes a back seat. It’s a dubious fit, but we’re winning so I’ll stfu.

Personally, I’d much rather watch Hart push the pace with RJ and Obi in transition than watch Randle dribble the air out of the ball in halfcourt isolation. Nobody wants to say it, but it’s no coincidence that the team has thrived since Randle’s ankle injury.

With Randle out/limited, you replace his production with increased output from at least 3 key players, most notably RJ. I’m not interested in some makebelieve beef between the two. I’m just saying, basketball-wise it holds RJ (and others) back to play alongside iso-Julius.

RJ was great in the first half and was 5-6 with randle assisting him and they were both playing well, with randle injured RJ went 0-5 in the 4th quarter. But I do tend to agree they can do more while staggered

RJ being good changes everything about this team’s potential. Ive been critical of him but he earned a whole lot of leeway after this series. Hopefully just the beginning for him to be more consistent.

People can say what they want about his game, but RJ’s attitude seems very Aaron Judge like. Stoic and robotic at times, but we dont have to worry about his emotions and all that.

Just keep doing what you’re doin RJ. If he can come even close to matching Jimmy next round we’ll take this easily.

In the playoffs
J. Hart - J. Brunson - M. Robinson - R. Barrett - O. Toppin
12 mins
136.0 ORTG
100.0 DRTG
36.0 NRTG

It's a nice change of pace, but we can't effectively rely on RJ & Hart to be good to great offensively like they were for so much of this series. The game sometimes drags into the mud in the playoffs and that's why I think we need Randle in there. He's simply our 2nd best scorer by a wide margin.

In game 4 when CLE was coming back, Randle, who had been struggling most of the series, got some big buckets for us to help stem the tide till the 4th when the unit you want came in and closed the door.

Anyway, this is a good problem to have.

3 good games and 2 bad games so far. He has been pretty good so far. Credit when credit is due and I am an RJ hater.

If RJ can play on this level consistently that will change fast.

honestly Game 1 he sucked shooting wise but his overall floor game was excellent. The whole team was **** game 2. Hopefully this series was his awakening moment. The moment the game finally slows down for a young player

He still stinks at shooting the 3 ball so he either has to cut that out of his game or improve his % a lot. I don't get it. He managed to shoot 40% from 3 before. Why is his 3 point shot so bad now? If he can even hit 35-36% its fine. :noway:
