When you start seeing the blank sigs across the league then you know it’s about to go down…
My favorite however is this one: “TAJ GIBSON IS HIM.”

Paul George headed to Cleveland?
Fat said he headed to West, everything points to Giddey to Cavs but I think melo flipped him for someone else
Someone gave up a good player for Josh Giddey? Go ask OKC fans about him I hope he made that trade.

There's gonna be all this hullabaloo and then it's just a merry go round with the dastardly Spurs getting better.

I have no trades at the moment. Just sitting back waiting for the dust to settle. Love the deadline to see what moves everyone made.
Potentially waiting to counter punch.

One team has to get good enough to beat San Antonio with some injury luck. That's all.

Same. Most of my assets are depreciated until next year anyway.

Re: Build a Franchise (Season 6) Regular Season Thread
I’m surprised there’s this much player movement considering pretty much every team just had the off-season to rebuild from scratch.
Did this many GMs not like the work they put in just some short months ago?
Speaking for myself, I have an excuse for my choppy results as I miscalculated the sim eligibility and have a major piece of my puzzle not in the game. I think that player would have brought enough firepower to vault me from that 6th seed to play-in tier, up to around that Orlando/Indiana/Milwaukee tier position in the East right below the Charlotte/Cleveland tier.
But I’m kinda surprised it seems like there are wholesale changes being made league-wide, with not too many standing pat.
I’ma just keep an eye on how it all looks once the dust settles and then reevaluate.

No need for trades when you’re 25-2. It’s the rest of us that got work to do.

I personally did most of my signings understanding I'll be moving players. I figured everyone would be giving out 5 year contracts, so grabbing a star on a 3 year would give me a leg up in trade talks. Zo and Allen are here for the foreseeable future though.

As you know you can never sleep. I know teams are working to get better. Regardless of the record right now I don't expect an easy road in the west come playoff time.

This. Only player I signed to be here long term was Embiid. Everybody else was an attempt to gather assets for the deadline while still fielding a team that could keep us in playoff contention. (I actually told a GM this via PM during the off-season.) What I didn’t expect was all this player movement happening so soon.

You shouldn’t. You’re the champ and so there’s a target that comes with that spot. Contenders are building teams considering an eventual series with you in mind.

Re: Build a Franchise (Season 6) Regular Season Thread
I kinda feel bad for bish. He might need to take some PTO days just to be able to process all these trades once the moratorium ends on 1/15.
Luckily for him, that date lands on a Sunday (with Monday the 16th being a national holiday) so at least he can start making announcements on a day that falls on a long weekend.
Thinking maybe it would make sense to be able to send the trades in on Saturday, January 14th (Friday night after 12:00am midnight) just to give him a leg up on processing things? Sort of like what we did with free agency to manage the sheer volume of transactions.
Also, just throwing this out there but with all the expected multi-team deals, it’s definitely gonna matter the order in which you submit your trades. Just so everything makes sense to bish.
Maybe a format where teams who’ve agreed on multiple deals can submit them in one PM like:
TRADE #1
TRADE #2
…and so on, etc.
