I am actually enjoying this game.

That was a good game. Gipson lost us the game, but he shouldn’t be on the team.

Offense looked great and actually carried the defense. Fields looked good. Breece Hall was a beast.

Brandon Stephens is gonna get picked on all year.

Jeremy Ruckert, Quinnen Williams and Will McDonald also looked good.

He's not going to get replaced?

Rodgers just heaved the ball in his direction knowing he wont be able to keep up.

Steelers fan here. It's funny, Steelers won but I come away worried our running game and run defense look terrible. Both lines in other words. Whereas Jets looking solid to me.

Yeah, as a Jets fan this is one of the rare instances where i'm not upset over a loss. Jets have a lot of room to grow from this. I think they will be better as weeks going on. Fields accuracy is kinda shocking.

Appreciate it! I think the Jets run game is going to give a lot of defensive lines issues, thanks to Fields' dual-threat. But our run defense looked pretty bad in the preseason (they traded for DT help right before the season started...twice), so that's one area that definitely warrants a bit of concern.

That Rodgers/Metcalf connection feels like it's going to be a match made in heaven for you guys. Especially against a D-Line that's not as aggressive and doesn't have so much experience practicing against A-Rod's hard count.

Isn't it a wonder what competent play calling can do for a team? We're still watching a rebuilding group, but it's just much easier to see what this team has to build on now. I can't believe the last coaching staff managed to make Breece Hall look bad

They don't really have a replacement, yet. Quantez Stiggers would probably be next up and he's a fourth or fifth CB on his best day, so far. The next man for the job is a rookie who missed some time with injury during camp. Azareyeh Thomas received a lot of love coming out of the draft and during his preseason work, but as a third-round rookie, it's a tall task to throw him straight into the deep end.

I also don't think it helps that they JUST invested in Stephens, and overpaid him. They're gonna try to make Stephens work for a while before cutting their losses.

The worst part of yesterday's loss is the two players that fans were most skeptical about are the key players to the loss. Stephens got abused, had a terrible Pass Interference, and dropped an INT that hit him right in the hands. Everyone wanted to replace Xavier Gipson as return man, and he got outperformed in the preseason...but they stuck with Gipson, and he fumbled the ball which led to a TD pass on the next play.

I have zero expectations here. It was just fun watching a good game even with the loss. The missed extra point really was the difference and not converting the two point conversion after the flag made it worse. We could have won this game. Oh well. I still enjoyed watching the team for the first time in years.

Looks like Sundays at my daughter's will be a thing this year. Win or lose I can't ask for more from this nightmare franchise. Wings and beers. What's not to love? We were cheering first downs and laughing how sad it is that any positive yards deserved applause.

I think we only punted once yesterday? The Gipson fumble killed us but, for the most part we played well enough to win that game. Only having one complaint with play calling on the day was a good sign we are in good hands.

Hopefully we have respectable football to watch the rest of the season. It would be such a stark contrast to the last decade or so.

The Jets will suck and win three games or less. It's a franchise that just doesn't know how to win.

Actually, make that 5 or 6 wins. They know how to win enough games to screw up draft position.

This is a very likely outcome but, I saw good things yesterday that make me ok with watching another game. It's more about hanging with the kids and enjoying Sundays together. It's been years since I even enjoyed watching a game at all. This was a positive game IMO. Sucks we lost. Sucks more we lost to Aaron Rodgers but, we played well enough to watch again.

Their first three rounds were solid. 4-6 not so much. Buffalo jumping in front of the Jets twice to take a DT that they could use, especially in that 4th round, Moogy probably panicked. He should have traded up earlier to get a DT and a WR that can actually catch.

Giants have 3 quarterbacks better than our best. Dart would have been interesting. Last I read on Membou was he was struggling.

Membou and Fields were fantastic in their Jet debuts for damned sure.

The concerns are with the secondary...It's a damned shame we couldn't afford to keep DJ Reed, because the D-Line has really high potential now that Jermaine Johnson's back.
