This means nothing.

Did he say the words I want to be a Knick yet? No? Okay then.

I mean he basically said as much in the offseason per Shams...Giannis told MIL to call the Knicks and no other team. That is where he wants to be.

they did so much to get Mikal here and he's so durable playing at nearly an allstar level. Don't see Mikal going with the Brunson/Hart connection. It would likely be OG.

The NBA is different.

Towns and OG are 90 million. That isn’t the package.

Deuce, Mikal, OG, Giannis, and KAT can win

Josh & Jalen for Giannis might be the package

Josh & Jalen make $54,126,450
Giannis makes $54,416,241

This is the part some people are missing. SA and ATL probably have better packages but why would they trade the motherload and Giannis has no interest in signing long term. So gutting your team for a 1.5 year rental probably doesn't make sense.

That is why Giannis holds the cards. And MIL will have to make the best possible deal to send him to the team he wants to play for long term.

EXACTLY! For the first time in what feels like CENTURIES, the Knicks have winning team or DARE I say Lakers or Celtics type franchise LEVERAGE. Everyone now knows Giannis wants NY, and apparently wanted NY since the summer. To trade KAT for Giannis straight up is an almost perfect salary match, and that's where Diawara comes in. The Knicks front office knew this, and that's why Mo' got sent straight to the big club and not Westchester.

Something was off about his body language last night. He played like Josh Hart when he had the ball in his hands, and turned down multiple 3 pointers late in the game.

I don't see how Jalen and Giannis would be that much better than Dame and Giannis

now, you give Giannis a team like KD has in Houston, with lengthy guys at every position, then you probably have a team that can legitimately beat anyone, including OKC in a 7 game series

people have a bias against KAT that they don't have against Jalen

Deuce, Mikal, OG, and Giannis would be so ridiculously good defensively, that there is little left for KAT to screw up

Offensively, the floor is way more spread with Deuce, Mikal, OG, and KAT surrounding Giannis than it would be with Jalen and Giannis

Yes you are the only one

He was off because he was trying to get KAT going to boost his trade value

Giannis should want to stay in the east and I don’t think OKC is going to want to break up a team that’s 20-1. So that’s gonna limit the suitors to teams like the hawks and the heat. I think the only chance we have of getting Giannis is if we can turn OG into any of the bucks picks they’ve traded out. That’s the real key cuz the Hawks have this pelicans pick that’s really valuable and we’re only going to be able to beat it if we can set up their tank.

only way I could see it being bridges is if the bucks really push for it - because then at least they could "sell" the narrative that they got "5 picks" since that is what bridges cost the knicks.

realistically I do think if they are going to flip Bridges or OG - Bridges still has more value.

I would love for it to happen but I gotta see it to believe it. Just feels like hopeful wishing when other teams have better assets, not to mention Giannis still has another year left on his contract. In the hypothetical he gets traded to another team there’s still another year he’d have to stay there.
