The problem isn't the player it's the contract. Now isn't the time to dish out big contracts unless they're 2-3 years at most. We haven't gotten to that point. i honestly think this a cool, calculated risk sort of move. if THJ doesn't continue to improve, we have him as he is (quick, athletic, explosive, streaky but quality shooter) barely entering his prime on a contract that will only be an 'overpay' for the duration of our rebuild

not quite 30. But I watched alot of hawks and Bucks b/c I was hoping for Timmy or preferably Middleton. Still didn't think Timmy would get broke off like that.

I'm pretty sure Detroit is hard capped now and would have to move salary to match anything over 16.5 for KCP.

The contract isn't bad though.
The cap is insane.
Mofo's are making over 30 per year. Timmy is on a fair deal.
