I’ve watched him extensively, even before he was at Texas Tech, from back when he was at St. John’s. He is a great shot blocker but he is mad weak with a narrow thin frame that won’t ever carry man weight well. He is also not a great rebounder.

I see Tako as a really fun G-Leaguer

at best he might be a guy who you can bring in for a few possessions where a massive body at the rim or on the inbounds helps

he's too damn slow

on that point I wouldn't use anything valuable on drafting Bol Bol either. That guy won't be healthy a single season and won't be effective in the NBA even when he is healthy. His motor is too low and his frame is too weak

I wasn't talking about Tacko Fall though. I was talking about Tariq Owens.

The more I watch RJ, the less impressed I am.

Sure, hes a combo guard, but the guy doesnt shoot well. Dangelo Russell was another combo guard coming out of college and he was a far superior prospect on tape. Even Lonzo Ball imo has better college tape than RJ.

you're getting a guy whose got size and strength coming down the lane. Willing passer and he's got experience running the offense at the top of the key and running PNR. Everyone talks about what a great athlete he is, but on tape I see a guy whose only a good athlete once hes a few strides in. Hes not sudden. I dont see alot of established go to techniques and skills.

He's got serious bust factor for hsi rookie contract. This guy now screams like a Shaun Livingston to me. I would love to have him on his second contract, not his first. He's a serious developmental project imo. High risk. low reward.

Nah. Barrett is a legit bigtime scorer written all over him. Culver is the more complementary player who will get his in the flow of the game, which is great. There's nothing wrong with Culver but he won't carry a team as Barrett can.

Cavs could possibly jump us and be trading the 5th and 26th picks + another player/Future 1st rounder to Memphis just to grab RJ Barrett. I'm not saying it'll happen, but anything is possible.
